Room could’ve been cleaner, but the staff was so helpful that I was able to overlook that. The breakfast was very good, a lot of choice.

Get what you pay for

We booked this property as a budget option for our family of 4, as getting two rooms downtown was ridiculously expensive. First, the good - the vibe is very family-friendly and my kids (10 & 12) appreciated going down to use the rock wall, ping pong, and foosball to get away from us for a bit, while we could grab a beer at the bar. It is also a 3 minute walk from the Sydhavn metro station where you can catch the A train in be downtown ~7 minutes later (tickets are honor system, and we didn't see many passengers scanning passes). It worked for our needs, which was just a place to sleep for two nights while we spent all day downtown, but otherwise I would not recommend. For one, the "easy" check-in system was glitchy and overly complicated; the desk/bar tended to be understaffed and staff was not overly helpful; we had enough space (barely) for 4 carry-ons and backpacks, but it was tight; the beds were nice but the pillows collapsed into nothing; some of the outlets worked but others not so much; and our shower (which was pretty decent for european standards) leaked horribly, creating a pond on the floor. The neighborhood doesn't have much to offer in terms of food (other than Wild Horses, which had great coffee but took forever), and it was kind of noisy fairly late on weekend nights. The only AC option is cracking the window, so you have to choose between being hot or being quiet in the summer. It worked for us, and I feel like I got what I expected, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Nice stay

Perfect place to stay for four days in Copenhagen Don't get five as the staff don't know Danskog because the breakfast buffet is inappropriately furnished for many.

Refused to help a sick person

I was there with 2 friends, and the room was fine. But on the day of the checkout, i was the last to leave and i got REALLY sick. I sat in the lobby, fell asleep multible times and was visibly very sick. I Could barely walk. I was there for hours, nobody checked on me. But thats fine.
Whats not fine is, after i threw up in a bag IN THE LOBBY and asked them to please help me book a taxi, or if not possible, then help me grab some of the heavy stuff to put outside(i was so fatigued) ..
She said she was too busy. :
There was 2 other people in the lobby and they were minding their own buisness. Before i came up to the clerk, she was watching videoes on her phone…
No compassion and no care.

Choose something else if possible

I usually don't complain, but this experience was more than just bad.
A&O Hotel in Copenhagen South Port is a place where the room is only to sleep in – and even that is difficult. They advertise soundproof rooms and quiet after 22:00, but this is in no way in line with reality. There was loud music at night, and you could clearly hear other guests’ cellular alarms in the morning.
The bed did not improve the experience either – it crumbled at the slightest movement, making it difficult to get a proper night’s sleep. In addition, we got a room where one mattress was completely destroyed and skewed, which is unacceptable.
All in all a very disappointing experience, which I can not recommend if you want peace and a good night's sleep.
