Nice and quiet

Nice place. Nice clean and you feel very welcome. Also our little dog who is scratched. We were there for 4 days until New Year's Eve and then the vovses nervous system was completely down
There are sheep, goats, loose chickens, pearl hunts and goats. Very idyllic.
Quiet and quiet. We had to go home 31.12 so we don't know with New Year's Eve and fireworks

Easter outing with family

We took our daughter, her husband and their two kids to the safari park at Knuthenborg for an Easter outing. We stayed one night at Skelstrup and were very satisfied with the spacious apartment and facilities. The garden with swings and trampolines is very child friendly and the enclosures with goats, sheep (including black and brown lambs) and hens are also entertaining. Maribo is a couple of kilometres to the south and the park is 3-4 kilometres to the north.

One night stay on way from UK to Sweden

Every now and again you find a little gem you want to keep to yourself, but feel others should know. Our stay here was fabulous. Big apartment for the two of us. Yes you have to supply your own linen, or rent from the hotel, but so what. It was clean, friendly, quirky, spacious, children friendly, animal friendly, disabled friendly, quiet and cheap. What else do you want. If you are the sort of person who desires five star luxury at a price you probably would not fit in. Thank goodness we didn’t meet any of these people. Will definately be back. Thank you. Forgot to mention the breakfast. Stunning.

Nothing Special

We stayed here over the Xmas break. The rooms we stayed in was a bit dated. Breakfast not included in price. Linen and towels not included in price. This perplexed us a little. Do people really bring their own linen to hotels?? Maybe they do, we just hadn't really heard of it. And the linen we actually did get from the hotel, didn't fit the beds! Then at the end of the stay, we had to take all the linen off the beds ourselves. Very strange.
In summary, I wouldn't say it was a bad stay or hotel. Just nothing really special...think average. Would definatetly look for an alternative next time in the are. Especially one that has bed sheets and we don't have to strip all the beds when we leave...isn't that what a hotel stay is about?

A family run B&B, great for families!

Our previous visit a few years ago suggested some renovation might be in order. This time the two-bedroom ground floor apartment we stayed in was freshly decorated and well equipped, even including a terrace with BBQ and dining area. The farm animals and children's garden activity areas add to the charm and make this a definite value-for-money stopover location, close also for the Rødby ferry. Bed linen (incl towels) is extra but the overall cost is still perfectly reasonable. We cannot comment on the breakfast since we left early morning but what we did see suggests a great B&B with a friendly Danish country look and feel and well worth a visit.
