The hotel is on the island of Philae and has a magnificent view, you can definitely relax here. You can take a short tour on the island, but there is not much to do. There is nothing but houses and hotels on this island. There are a few things you should pay attention to regarding Aswan. If you are planning to come here, please research transportation thoroughly. Now, since I don't know which city you want to reach there from, let me tell you about my own experiences as an example. I wanted to come here from Cairo. When I looked for a bus ticket online, there was only one bus and it was said to take 18 hours. I was visiting many villages. I did not buy this bus and bought a ticket to Luxor. The distance between Luxor and Aswan is 3 hours, I thought it would be easier to get there from here, but it didn't happen. I came to Luxor and the bus ticket is 500 egp, this is too much for 3 hours (I paid 200 egp for 10 hours from Cairo to Luxor), the train is 60 egp for Egyptians, 50$ for tourists, yes it's a joke. These people have found every way to rob the tourists. Please bargain if you are going to buy your tickets there! Anyone who says they want to help you is asking for money. Another important issue is that you will receive a message from the facility stating that you will be able to reach the facility by boat and they will send you the location of the marina for you to board the boat. The indrive driver from the bus station to this location received 200 egp. The facility said the boat fee was 200 EGP, but I missed the boat because I couldn't be there on time. I got the price from other people there and they told me 500 egp and finally they reduced it to 200 egp. However, it is a shorter distance to reach the island from the back side and boaters only charge 5 EGP. This was demonstrated by two young Egyptians staying at the hotel. Please research and find out, it is further away from the marina location sent by the hotel, but it will be convenient if you take local minibuses to reach it. When I was leaving the hotel, I took a boat from the back of the island, paid 5 EGP, and paid 5 EGP for a CMG motorcycle to go to the city center. Be sure to ask the people there about cmg motorcycles.
Also, there is something I would like to share with those who are thinking of going to Egypt. Do not exchange dollars at the airport or foreign exchange offices! There is a free market in Egypt. Try to exchange it at souvenir shops, jewelers, etc. and bargain. For example, in my period, the official exchange rate was 1 dollar = 30.80 egp, but as I said, if you exchange it with people outside of official places, you can exchange 1 dollar for up to 60 egp. So you can double your money. That's why there will be people out there who want to exchange dollars for you and will try to change it at the official rate, so bargain, the dollar price varies from city to city. They buy dollars from you at the official exchange rate and sell them to the state at very high prices. so be alert!)

I booked heissa hostel based on the photos and description, but what I got was completely different. The place was dirty, poorly maintained, and nothing like the pictures. It was so bad that I had to check out on the same day.
To make matters worse, the owner refused to refund me anything, even though the property was clearly misrepresented. They are running a scam, using fake photos to trick people into booking.
Avoid this place at all costs! If you’ve had a similar experience, report them to the booking platform and dispute the charge with
I recently booked in heissa hostel on [feb 2025] through booking. The listing showed a clean and well-maintained property, but when I arrived, it was nothing like the photos. The place was dirty, unlivable, and completely misrepresented.
Due to these issues, I had no choice but to check out immediately. However, despite these valid concerns, I was denied a refund by property and booking This is unacceptable and goes against fair business practices.
I am requesting a full refund for this misleading booking. I have attached photos as proof of the false advertising and poor conditions. Maha
