Beautiful location for relaxation

We loved our stay at Hacienda Cusin- it was hard to leave. The buildings and rooms are very beautiful, with lots of interesting pieces of art. Plenty of room to relax- many sitting areas, some with an open fire. Fantastic setting, with extensive gardens and a small farm where the horses are kept.
We stayed here for four nights on arrival in Ecuador, in order to recover from our trip, get used to some altitude, and explore this lovely area. While here, we rode the horses, visited the condor park and the Otavalo market, and did a full day tour to explore all the local villages and their crafts as well as Peguche waterfall. The tours and transfers organized by the hotel were great, and the hotel staff were very helpful with ordering taxis when we wanted to get somewhere independently- they even called a taxi for me to return from the Condor Park. This made every activity simple and stress-free.
Our room was very comfortable and beautiful, and every night the staff made a fire in our fireplace, gave us hot water bottles, and even chocolates. Excellent service.
The food is very good and we enjoyed meeting other travellers at dinner.
I highly recommend this place and would love to return one day.

Beautiful grounds and great food but bring warm clothes to sleep in

Beautiful grounds. However, be warned. There is NO central heat. Make sure the portable heater works so you can heat your room. They provide lovely water bottles that stay warm all night. It so pack warm clothes to sleep in. Our room had no hot water either, very cold showers. Meals are amazing with very large portions.

Excellent, showy and top notch staff.

Nice place, nice ride, varied breakfast but above all I want to value the goodwill and the ability to solve problems of the staff.
I'm round wherever you want.

A great place to recover and rest.

A wonderful venue, the rooms were beautiful and clean, the meals were delicious and well portioned, the gardens were lovely. Highly recommend. A very quiet venue, with sounds of nature including frogs and birds.
