Super hostel with good food (including breakfast) and an outstanding rooftop terrace
The rooms are rather small, but offer everything one needs. The location is excellent, and the rooftop terrace with its view over Quito is simply spectacular.
We were particularly impressed by the food as well. We had breakfast and dinner at the hostel every day because the value for money and taste were truly outstanding.
The cleanliness also deserves high praise. Common areas and restrooms were cleaned multiple times a day and were always in very well-maintained condition.
The entire hostel is exceptionally well organized. Excursions, transfers, and leisure activities are clearly presented and easy to book. We can especially recommend the Free Walking Tour as well as the trip to Mitad del Mundo.
Anyone visiting Quito and looking for a hostel with a great atmosphere, good organization, and a fantastic community will find it here. A clear recommendation from us!
For us, Secret Garden Quito was the perfect start to our South America adventure. From the very first moment, we felt at home and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We were so impressed that we immediately booked Secret Garden Cotopaxi as well – a decision we have never regretted.
The rooms are rather small but have everything you need. The location is excellent, and the rooftop terrace offers breathtaking views over Quito that are hard to beat.
The food was another highlight. We ended up having breakfast and dinner at the hostel every day because the quality, taste, and value for money were simply outstanding.
Cleanliness deserves special mention. The common areas and bathrooms were cleaned several times a day and were always spotless.
The hostel is also incredibly well organized. Tours, transfers, and activities are clearly explained and easy to book. We especially recommend the Free Walking Tour and the trip to Mitad del Mundo.
If you are looking for a hostel with a fantastic atmosphere, excellent organization, and an amazing community, Secret Garden Quito is the perfect choice.

Very good hostel with amazing views on its terrace
Its price is quite reasonable and features a terrace on the top floor with amazing views. In addition, if you get cold you can use the complimentary ponchos that the company puts at the disposal of its guests. The food is quite good, and if you are staying there you will have a special discount.
Although the area is quite safe, they recommend not going out at night or carrying swanky clothes or objects. In any case, the company has its own taxis, with an airport shuttle included for a closed and acceptable price. However, you are 4 minutes from the historic center of Quito.
We did not make use of them, but the hostel has plenty of activities to get to know Quito and nearby places.

Great Sociable Hostel
The only tiny reservation is Location could be better as it’s abit far out BUT an uber into the main areas of Quito normally costs between $1-3 so it’s not exactly a problem !
10/10 would recommend to stay here :)
