good accomodation for a good price

I stayed in one of the appartments for 3 nights and felt very comfortable. It was spacious and clean. The kitchen came in very handy (supermarket close by) and it wasnt that far to walk into the old town. The host was very friendly as well. The only downside was that my appartment (no 1) was facing a very busy street with a tram line that made the place shake every now and then. Its noisy and you will need earplugs. Apart from that I do recommend this place.

Fine, but not really great

I wanted to book something close to the center but also close to the bus station (tourist ones, I would have used them to get around Riga) and this is what I found. They are two apartments converted into rooms in two different floors, I was at 1 room 1. Virtual checkin with managers who send you codes and everything you need to enter and stay, the keys are in the door lock, room on the 2nd floor (stairs and no elevator so beware). Room large and clean as the shower (a little less the bathroom). Breakfast kit with kettle and tea and coffee although not required, you have a small kitchenette with dishes and microwave but clearly no food (I had breakfast with two croissants taken at a supermarket 24h). There was weather but I didn't use it, just leave the window open and you're good to go.
Bus and tram stop practically outside the house, in 10 minutes you are downtown, walk 20.
In itself fine, except for a few negative points below.
Surely the proximity to the main road to 6 lanes, you are right above the traffic lights and the people of the east like to do formula 1 in the street as much as at the limiter departures. Also there are the tracks and they feel good in the room, almost vibrates, I have heavy sleep so I am not annoyed but watch out for those who have light sleep.
Insufficient curtains (only the light white one) as well as the bathroom: being converted rooms you can not expect but I have seen sinks in larger campers although the shower is large and comfortable. No bidet. No space to place the bag or even just the soap except a useless shelf above the toilet.

A lot smaller then it looks in the photos - the bed is a sofa bed
It is some distance from the Old Town - a good 20 minute walk
