something for the eye and soul

Truly a little gem on this island. Friendly staff, good service, very clean and well-maintained. The garden is beautifully landscaped, and the rooms with direct sea views are comfortable and luxurious.
The white sandy beach is rather small and not very deep, even far out. In addition, there's a fantastic pool for swimming and laps. Its design, with steps and an infinity edge leading into the sea, is a real success.
Breakfast was varied and good. Dinner could be improved, but there are alternatives in the nearby village. Overall, highly recommended.

Decent given the area is not yet “developed”.

I liked this resort (given the local options are limited) though my review is critical in the hope things will improve. Staff are fantastic and friendly, English spoken. Rooms are clean and AC worked well. The toilet door lock activated twice on of its own accord but the staff were quick to come and unlock it for us. Grounds are clean and tidy. Food at restaurant is good, clean and hot but there are limited choices, mainly Filipino taste, pizza oven was not working when we were there. Some mildly Italian inspired dishes. Nice beach, but no sun loungers seating or facilities there. “lifeguard” on duty most of the time but watch your kids, some surfaces are slippery and one child cut his chin in or around the pool, not our young thankfully.
Issues:
Noise! It’s a resort that allows “day trips” and while we were there, noisy kids screaming everywhere, especially near pool. Don’t book those rooms if you like a lie in.
It’s approx 1km from the “main road”. If you don’t have transport, that’s a pain. No shuttle offered by hotel. Local trikes take the Micky because they know you have little choice. Lovely swimming pools, however, only one toilet near the pool. That toilet was seemingly always occupied due to number of guests and the fact that it’s also a shower room, meaning the kids just wee in the pool. No marked “designated smoking/vaping area” of you are a smoker. Water is cold in the room, no hot/warm shower if you are used to that. Lots of mosquitoes morning and evening, make sure you have a lot of insect spray and sun tan lotion, nothing useful available at the resort. Ensure early arrival for breakfast, not always a lot left if you are not early. As usual, Filipino culture does not promote “quiet” and early morning is ruined by very noisy guests outside your room, next door etc. sound proofing is poor. Very few sun lounger/umbrella’s available given the number of guests, especially at weekends. This is NOT western style 5 star, I would say a 3. Good access to beach, fun at low tide to go rock pooling but care with sea urchins that abound. So overall a decent hotel by local standards but not for a quiet getaways.

The resort is nice and peaceful. The only complaint I had was the room has a lot of ants everywhere

Stayed here many times and think it’s one of the nicest properties near Anda. Rooms are clean and functional. Internet has improved since last visit. The staff is great. The restaurant is good but the breakfast buffet is limited. The pool is huge and the private beach is sandy.

Initially, had an issue with the AC unit in my room and toilet was clogged. I requested a room transfer from the front desk staff and they promptly moved me to another room with better AC unit. Our rooms are directly in front of the beach making the view both for sunrise and sunset surreal. All the staffs of the resort were hospitable and warm when they welcomed us.
I would just want to request for some good music in the dinning and pool area as it improves the mood and atmosphere. Also, if the resort can make sure that the beach front is always cleaned. My niece found a broken glass in the sand, and it made us worry for safety reason.
Overall, I and my family had a great time in the resort even though it was just for a night. The restaurant menu and portion of servings was adequate and prices are reasonable. (please change the high chair for the kids - my nephew fell to the floor because it was broken) The rooms we were assigned to were well maintained. Loved the Massage service and area offered as well (better if the massage beds were more sturdy.. hehe), you have option to do the massage in your room though. The swimming pools are clean with 3 different depths (3ft, 4ft and 5ft) which I am truly happy because the children we were with had so much fun. They also offer day tours around Anda, Bohol (which we were not able to avail due to the limited time that we have).
I would highly recommend staying in this resort and will surely come back again.
