kitchen and utensils available but we ate out nearby restaurant (Gilligan) reasonable price. Internet intermittent

Rooms/apartment was clean, the staff were courteous and helpful and the location was very convenient (next or close to several dining spots and a 24-hr convenient store).
I did not notice that the place does not have
air-conditioning when I booked it, not needed at that time but I was wondering when it's summer time. Also, on the first and second nights, noise or chatter of neighbors can be heard until wee hours of the night.

Poor and extremely noisy

Little honest feedback on our first night in the Philippines, at Baguio Holiday Villa in Baguio.
On paper, everything was envious:
➡️ Very nice Internet photos
➡️ Small hotel with greenery, we think to be quiet while staying close to the center
➡️ Correct notes and some reviews about noise, but nothing alarming...
➡️ For one night, we think we'll be fine...
Big disillusionment... especially for a first night in the Philippines!
We did NOT have the rooms with garden views, but two very small rooms on the street side. And then we discover the reality:
Scooters
Trucks
Cars
Horns
➡️ All night, without interruption
The streets in the Philippines are extremely noisy, and in this hotel, soundproofing is almost non-existent on the street side. Result: total sleepless night, exhausted alarm clock, first impression of the country very difficult...
Very poor breakfast in addition:
➡️ It’s either coffee or orange juice...
➡️ Cannot have both
➡️ Very basic and clearly not up to standard
I share to warn future travelers:
If you book here, really insist on a garden-side room
Otherwise, go your way if you are sensitive to noise
For us, it clearly ruined our first night

Room was small and dated. It was very clean but felt like a hostile and the AC needs cleaning as it was spewing dust all over the beds.

Staff was super. The standard room was nice but a bit small. Super location. My only criticism was the rooster outside of our window, but it’s the Philippines.
