Living heritage and hospitality in an area of exquisite beauty

This is a fantastic place out in the middle of spectacular views. The family were so welcoming. It is wonderful to see people appreciating their culture and giving so much back. It is a window onto a preserved heritage. The museum and artifacts acquired over generations is amazing.

The Peaceful Escape Native home

Kuya Noel and Ate Gloria are very hospitable and knowledge Ifugao culture, art and their traditions. The Native hours fits four people well and shower are accessable and well maintained for each house. Restaurant on site is handy since the lower town is a bit of walk. The view is amazing and so peace living area. You become one with nature with the humbug of camping outside.

What an experience staying at Hiwang Native House & Viewdeck

We stayed at the Hiwang Native Inn and Viewdeck for 3 nights at the end of October. We stayed in a native hut, which was certainly an experience. The views from the hut were absolutely amazing. The owner was very approachable and nothing was too much trouble. We were able to arrange evening lifts into Banaue town for evening meals and went on so many incredible tours of the area during the day. The only thing I will not miss is the 156 steps leading up to our hut.

Needs Improving!

My sister and her husband from the US visited and wanted to go to Banaue so I gave them a list of where to stay. This wasn't on my list but they picked this one. The place is secluded and you'll only get there if you drive. The huts were quite interesting as it gives you the feel of being a native but, at night, there are bugs flying around and I had to cover myself with a comforter (which I brought with me). The owners who happen to be a family were very accommodating and friendly but sadly, the food and service wasn't really up to my standards. They need professionals to handle it. The concept that this place offers, which is a native experience and a fantastic view is great, however I felt like wanting to give tips and pointers to the family on how to improve their service and customer experience and how to market this quaint place for a better experience for travellers.

Memorable experience but unhappy end

We spent a nice short stay at Hiwang Native House. The nature and native houses overlooking rice terraces are amazing, such an experience. The owner family were also welcoming and friendly.
You need to have a car to be able to reach here comfortably. There is no restaurant closeby so the only option is to purchase from them, it was delicious. Lights aren't many so be very careful if you want to wander around in the dark as you can fall at a height of 2-3 meters.
We had time to chat here and there thoroughout our stay. While we were leaving, we could not find the owners thus their daughter helped us checking out. Once the car has departed, I have seen the owner lady literally running towards the car and I naively thought that she wanted to say goodbye. However, her intention to ask for money not knowing that we have already paid and checked out.
