PERFECT STAYCATION! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR SOLO TRAVELLERS!♥️
This place is perfect for relaxation! I stayed in the Deluxe Room for 4 nights, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The affordable breakfast and dinner options were a highlight—I loved them! Don't miss trying the "Sinigang na Baboy" when you visit.♥️
I really appreciate Stephen's efforts to ensure I had no water problems during my stay. Conscious of water usage, I recycled water from my shower to save more. Stephen, the owner, is friendly and approachable.♥️ He even recommended a tricycle tour (TukTuk) with Kuya Manuel, who took me to 8 famous spots in Bohol—all worth it!
If you enjoy peace and nature sounds, this is the perfect staycation spot. Highly recommended!
P.S. I jogged to the Chocolate Hills Complex, which took about 40 to 50 minutes each way. A tricycle for around ₱30 or a bus for only ₱10 is a great option ahaha. Stephen's cooking is fantastic—don't miss it!

Nice people - nice location - currently some constructions
We were staying in Villa del Carmen for our Balloon ride over the Chocolate Hills. This place is really a great option to stay in Carmen. I just didn’t give full points since there was a big construction going on and some other minor things.
Pro:
+ super friendly stuff (especially KC)
+ we had to postpone our flight, so they were quite helpful to reschedule the stay also with external website
+ serve nice dinner and breakfast
+ also got later breakfast due to our early balloon flight
+ no street noise
+ welcome drink
+ small pool
Con:
- big construction going on
- our room was in the main building and the walls are quite thin
We can definitely recommend to stay there and thank KC for the hospitality.

Family run hostel in a great location
Lovely place, in a great location to get to/from the chocolate hills. The family cooked us a lovely home cooked dinner which had lots of vegetarian options!
The view during the daytime is spectacular and the rooms are very good.
The family who own it and their staff were all very helpful and the pick up from port service with a tour is great.
Note - the family have young children, so don’t expect to be able to party into the early hours

Thank you for your nice review! Many of our guests like to get a fairly early start the next day and sleep fairly early, so we try to keep things quiet here after 9 PM, but we are flexible depending on our guests that evening. Our children are used to having guests and sometimes family around, so they sleep when tired no matter what!

Centraly located family runed place
We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it. The family is very lovely and welcoming and the food is amazing! The rent very good Scooter and is a nice base to explore the nearby tourist attractions (e.g. Chocolate hills, Adventure Parks...).

A WONDERFUL get-away-from-it-all gem in Bohol!
Spent 4 nights there w/ my daughter touring around Bohol and it was a truly relaxing and yet adventure-loving stay!
Ideally it could be a great get-away from the city or an intimate 'honeymoon' type or small families trip. The owners (who also live there) are more than happy to help you with all the adventure places to visit in and around the area: the amazing waterfalls (Can-umatad Falls esp. which you can spend the day swimming in), the monkey parks (Tarsier is sooo cool), hiking trails, and even visiting snakes, croc & eagle enclosures - you name it (there's even a balooning possibilitiy which I will certainly try next time); they know where to go and have a van and driver to bring you there for an all-in reasonable price.
The place itself is a beautifully built wood-themed homey B&B with wonderful views from the front queen ensuite room and from the outside porch itself. (by the way, there's a bit of construction going on here and there, but it never interrupted my sleep at night nor was it ever too early in the morning). I was there with my daughter and she just loved the cool frog pond outside and feeding the goat down in near the fields. And if your kids get bored the internet works just fine..
On the add-comment side: I would say that if they had more visible information in the rooms/around the house on the available times of adventure activities and tours, it would really help; a TV in every room w/ cable and USB (for visitors' own content) could possibly help accommodate older families more. One point of note: if your carding, it you'll have to pay through paypal as they don't have a debit machine on hand.
Overall, food was outstanding; owners extremely accommodating, tours were awesome, prices were very reasonable.
Ideal for: couples, small-sized families w/ young kids, travellers, hikers, adventurers, and the physically disabled (all main bedrooms are on one ground floor so easily accessible for wheelchair users). See our photos!
Please note: this is definitely not a place for noisy, demanding, or disrespectful tourists. It's essentially a family-run guesthouse so do respect it for what it is.

Thank you! We really appreciate all the thoughtful comments and information to help others enjoy their stay and know what to expect when staying at our place and in Carmen! We try to have a swimming pool for the kids, but sometimes when there isn't enough fresh rain water it's hard to keep it clean and the frogs take over! :-D
