I love the location of this hotel, which is the near the port, and it is surrounded by many small stores and eateries. I have stayed in this hotel when it was very new and stayed several more when I come to Coron. My memories about it stayed with me. The rooms were relatively large and commodious.

Worst hotel experience ever, avoid like the plague

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had travelling. Warning do not stay there ! We booked online and checked recent photos and reviews etc they must’ve been fake. When we got there, they didn’t know we were coming after extensive email confirmations. No help to get luggage upstairs to room. Room didn’t have ocean views as requested. They actually had to run around and get a room ready for us and add tv’s etc. Room was disgusting needs major refurbishing. Breakfast was meant to be included, we got 2 slices of French toast 1 omelette and 1 coffee on 1 plate for 2 people. They say online that there is a restaurant attached, but we were told no they had nothing to do with the motel. Very un organised, poorly run business in need of a complete overhaul. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

Quite an old property, there were towels down in the public areas as it leaked when it rained. Felt like the floors had never been cleaned (very very dusty), and there were also "soft spots" in the floor that felt like we might fall through at any moment. Staff were very helpful, and the building location right by where the island tours depart was convenient, but didn't make up for the rundown nature of the building overall. The provided wifi didn't reach our room either.

This was our third room in the hotel during the same trip. This was also the worst part of our trip.
The quality of the room was the same as the others we stayed in - very wide, but not very clean. The water pressure was also very low, and the hot water was not very reliable. Again, the bathtub was basically useless because of how slowly the water trickled out to fill it up.
The second evening we came back to find the room hot, humid, and feeling like a sauna. The A/C had broken, and they told us there were no other rooms that we could move to. They gave us the choice to wait for a few hours until the AC was fixed, or try a smaller replacement room. The replacement room we went to was smaller and clearly uncleaned - the carpet felt kind of sticky/dirty/stained, and there was visible dirt and dust around the room. The AC in this room was also broken, and only blew warm air. After complaining some more, the staff revealed there was another empty room, they said they would clean it so we could move in. After over an hour of moving in and out, we were finally resettled into the new room. The staff were understanding and seemed to genuinely want to help, but seemed to be unable to make any decisions without authority of the management, who they kept calling to confirm. The management initially offered complementary breakfast if we switched to the smaller room, but after we moved to the new replacement room the staff said that the breakfast offer was canceled by the management, since our new room was of the same value as our original.  In the end, we wasted nearly all of our last evening moving from room to room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

There were rats in our room. While I was in the bathroom a rat ran along the bottom of the door, up the side of door, and into the roof.
There wasn’t any running water between 2am and 6am.
The door chain was broken.
The bath was filthy.
The people running this hotel know about the rats, it was not a surprise to them.
