5 star place in Bantayan Island Cebu! The staff were among the friendliest in the world

The staff alone would make this the place to be in Bantayan Island. They were very courteous and attentive. The location is just a few steps away from the beach, the room I got was the apartment with kitchen and terrace overlooking the beach. The room was spacious and comes with everything I need including a safe, umbrella and a hair dryer which is very rare for an inn. The terrace had a big dining table, a hammock and a lounge chair as well as a drying rack for wet clothes. Complimentary breakfast served was spectacular. Lastly, every one of the staff were among the most helpful and friendliest in all the places I’ve ever been to (worldwide). If you’re considering a place to stay in Bantayan Island, look no further and consider this place. Phenomenal from check in to check out!

DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL! As an Agoda VIP Diamond Member, I am shocked. This is a $20 budget room sold for $50. It’s a "combo" of the worst conditions possible.
​The Sleep Torture: Soundproofing is zero. You get a maximum of 4 hours of sleep. Noise lasts until 9 PM, then roosters start at 11 PM or 2 AM. A pack of stray dogs lives right at the entrance and joins the barking concert. At 6 AM, loud tricycles start right under your window.
​HEALTH HAZARD & FILTH: The room is infested with BLACK MOLD. It is dangerous to breathe here! The plumbing is rusted, covered in limescale, and wrapped in tape. There is no bottled water provided, only a carafe (carafe) of unknown, suspicious quality.
​The "View" & Trash Scam: I paid for a "Sea View", but I am looking at dusty roofs, a road, and piles of trash right under my window. The beach nearby is dirty and stinking.
​Chemical Breakfast: They serve cheap chemical powder (like "Yupi") instead of real juice. The coffee is terrible, and the overall food quality is insulting.
​Climate Torture: The AC is either an arctic freeze or suffocating heat. There is no middle ground. There is no private balcony — it is a common walkway where people walk past your window constantly.
​I have visited over 26 countries, and this is by far the worst place.

Awesome stay!

Good location, the beach, MJSQUARE, market, and BBQ stand are all within walking distance.
There are no other rooms on the third floor except our large room.
Great views from the large balcony.
Delicious breakfast
Staff who provide attentive service

Beautiful and cozy resort within walking distances to the beach and nearby food and grocery amenities. The rooms are small but has good functioning aircon and water heater for showers. Everything is clean and works well. No complaints at all. The local home-cooked Philippines breakfast is great with many choices too! Motorcycle rental is 300php per day at the resort itself and they are Not rather new bikes and worth it for travelling to all the places of interests on Bantayang island. The best experience is with the lady manager Aiza, who is very helpful with her tips on local places of interest and provided whatever requests we have on the resort. This resort is a not too expensive home-stay experience at a good location, which I will return, if I come back to Bantayang Island.
