excellent experience

Nice hotel with very kind staff who give excellent advice for travelers and cyclists.
The sauna in the hotel at the top is beautiful.
Hotel clean, welcoming and well-furnished rooms.
The restaurant offer is good and varied.
I recommend stopping if you are passing through.

Good hotel

We stayed at this hotel to experience the icebreaker activity. The hotel is located about 5 km from Kemi; there are no public transport connections to the city, but taxis are quite affordable and convenient.
The rooms are a bit dated, but they are spacious and clean. Both dinner and breakfast were good and satisfying.
The owner was very welcoming and helpful, which made our stay even more pleasant.
Overall, the hotel offers good value for money.

Completely nice accommodation if you do not expect so much too much.

The room was relatively refurbished, but the bathroom was tired. It smelled sour in the bathroom and smelled smoke in the room. There was little to no ventilation.
The beds were fine.
Breakfast is very limited selection with round pieces/bread, ham, cheese, eggs, jam.
You live in the woods.

Very average but inexpensive

I stayed 8 nights in this hotel which I had chosen located in the forest for its practical location. The environment is nice with a large green space, benches, games for children.....bicycles. The building is very long with a tower which houses the sauna (to be reserved at reception). Check-in ok but only from 4 p.m. before reception is closed. The room is rather spartan, quite dark with classic bedding but that's okay. A small table on wheels and two chairs, a desk. A TV with only channels in Finnish. The bathroom is more than basic. The problem is that for 8 days, they never changed the sheets or swept the floor or cleaned the sink. It's a bit limited in terms of hygiene.
Very average breakfast with products found in supermarkets (I saw the same wafers and other bread, biscuits...) at a more than modest price and especially the cakes and breads are left all day under a large cloth so as long as they are not eaten they remain which can be relatively long....here again not great hygiene. For the rest, meatballs, sausages, oatmeal, small pancakes, raw vegetable salads and watermelon/grapes. Tea and coffee with some local dairy products and yogurts and slices of ham/cheddar type cheese. It looks a bit like a canteen.
Finally, the staff is rather welcoming and young women are friendly and smiling. A small gluten-free breakfast area.
No lunch but they offer dishes made on site for dinner.

So happy to find this place!

This place was like winning in lottery for tired travellers. Owners arranged 4 bed room for us and those hours we had for sleeping we slept so well. We came very late, but it was easy to find the key and the room. In the morning was surprised of quality of breakfast, which was included. And especially I appreciate very friendly service by the owners. Want to wish you good luck with your business!
