The hotel room was newly renovated with a modern, scandinavian, industrial vibe to it. The materials felt like a great quality and all of the details were well thought of.
Very happy with the room!
The breakfast buffet was just amazing! The endless options and all looking so tempting to try! Wooah, you could spend all day exploring the flavours and local specialities. The restaurant was spacious and cozy to enjoy a slow breakfast. Highly recommend!

the only downside was the breakfast. the omelette was really watery, the mushrooms were burnt, the cold cuts were really limited and they ran out of butter, which we had to wait a really long time for

Ideal Base for Exploring Turku
At first, we were a little confused about how to reach the hotel reception, as the route from the parking area involves walking through the shopping center. However, we found our way without too much trouble.
The hotel itself, as well as our Standard King room, was very clean and well-maintained. One interesting and somewhat unusual feature was the glass walls of the bathroom — a detail we hadn’t encountered before and which left us with mixed feelings.
The bed was soft and comfortable, with two types of pillows available, which was a nice touch. There was also a small refrigerator in the room, perfect for storing your own snacks or drinks.
Breakfast was varied and plentiful, and we didn’t feel like anything was missing from the selection.
One of the highlights of our stay was the Walo Rooftop Bar located on the hotel’s rooftop. It offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view over Turku — a perfect spot to unwind and take in the city from above.
I would definitely recommend Hotel Wiklund if you're looking for a quality hotel with a fantastic location right next to Turku’s main Market Square.
