If you are a diver, look no further. If you want to literally get away from it all and live in paradise for a few days, look no further. If you want to do both, then you definitely have to go to Tiputa Lodge. Henry is the owner and he has certainly found a very special part of the world. He’s a fellow scuba diver and is very knowledgeable about the area, let him set you up with Serge, a local dive operator, and you’ll dive some of the most amazing sites ever. We saw dolphins every single day at Tiputa pass. It was legendary. You can ride a bike for 5 min to meet serge at the dock, or Henry will drive you, but I much preferred to bike, made for a cooler experience. Tiputa pass is just a short 5 minutes from the dock. From the moment you leave the lodge, you’re basically in the water within 20 minutes. And after a couple dives, you have a completely private beach at the lodge to spend the rest of the day. Great snorkeling right from shore as well. Make sure to request the waffles for breakfast, they are seriously delicious. The other great thing about Tiputa is that 250 of the nicest people I’ve ever met live there, and that’s an understatement. Everybody waves, says hello (or bonjour), it’s literally a happy little island. Henry couldn’t be a better host too. Just go if you can, I’m hoping I get to return one day.

A special part of the world

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Rangiroa Tiputa Lodge for part of our honeymoon. Henry was a fantastic host, super friendly and very helpful!
Henry helped to per-arrange all the transportation from the airport - stress free. Prior to arriving, Henry even helped us with arranging the excursions.
To our delight, we had access to our own private beach. What a view! We had delicious breakfast delivered to us every morning. He also offered to help us get our delicious local home cooked dinners ahead of time.
We can't say enough good things about this part of our trip. It was definitely a highlight! We hope to cross paths again in the future.

Paradise
Lovely modern apartment fully equipped, private beach with a beautiful house reef. The diving school is in the same building, so you can step out of the lodge and be taken by Serge to the boat for some wonderful diving. Free bicycles to explore the island, but if you don't want to, Henry will make sure you have everything you need. No 5 star resort can compete with this.
