Fantastic relaxing stay in this immaculate property.

À lovely quiet and relaxing stay in Alençon on our way home to the UK. Amazing room with a balcony and immaculate room and bathroom. We were welcomed by Elizabeth and shown around this stunning property.
We slept well and had a lovely breakfast in the morning. Lots to see in Alençon.

Beautiful hotel in Alençon, perfect base for exploring the town's historic centre and countryside around

Les Deux Marguerite is a lovely hotel in beautiful grounds in the heart of Alençon's historic centre. The house has been beautifully restored and decorated, and is an absolute delight to stay in. Breakfast offered plenty of delicious choice.
With its own parking, it's a superb base both for exploring Alençon on foot and touring the lovely surrounding forests and historic villages (not least Saint-Céneri-Le-Gérei).
Stéphane the host is welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about what to do, where to eat out and what to see in the locality.
All in all, we can't recommend it enough.

Superb guest house

Very nice house. Completely renovated with great charm, taste, and very high quality. Good job! We slept in the suite. Family room. Perfectly arranged. Stop over really nice! Close to the city center, very convenient.

An unexpected treat and one to highly recommend.

An unreserved recommendation - one of those places that feels like a hidden secret that you'd like to keep to yourself, but the owner, Stéphane Guy, deserves every success and so we want to share this wonderful place. A cancelled ferry from Dieppe meant an unexpected stop in France, and we found ourselves in Alencon where it was a choice between a typical anonymous chain hotel or, for a few euros more, this guest house in a charming 19th century maison de maitre. Stéphane has done a fantastic job refurbishing and decorating it, including a wonderful collection of paintings by artists with a local collection in the common areas. The rooms are impeccable, and Stéphane, apart from being a warm and gracious host who prepares a great breakfast and a really nice person to talk to, is a mine of information on the town itself, with some great recommendations for restaurants. Alençon is an elegant town with much to recommend it - we'll definitely be back and will be sure to stay at Les Deux Marguérite when we do.

Fantastic refurbished attractive hotel in good location

Very nice and very well refurbished hotel with large garden! We were received very friendly. Spacious and stylish rooms with very good (and wide) beds. Lovely shower. Good location near the castle and close to several restaurants.
In the morning we got a fantastic breakfast with fresh fruit, mini pain-au-chocolat, mini croissant, fresh baguette and boiled egg. Also nice that we could park on site.
