Simple hotel

Simple and correct hotel very good value for money and good location in downtown Angers.
Beware no breakfast on Sunday morning but bakery nearby and no elevator for suitcases....
But apart from that nothing wrong!!
This is a very good hotel that I recommend!

Don't stay here

Horrible. Rooms smells like mold and if you open the window it smells like fried food from the restaurant that equals as front desk. This is not a hotel, it's a restaurant with some rooms. Water damage that is open and not restored in bathroom. The shower is tiny and the water is cold and hot irregularly. Bed is rock hard. No elevator. Can only check in certain hours. You can have much nicer hotels for same money. Only good thing is that it was clean, but that doesn't help when your eyes are running and you get allergic reactions from the mold.

Fortunately on the castle square opposite the church we found a bakery to buy croissants and have a coffee

small, cheap, very accommodating and friendly staff

The double room is small, but adequate, tidy, bathroom small, clean and good. Window facing the street: not disturbing. Breakfast cheap and simple. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We were there as bicycle tourists and had a breakdown. We were welcomed at short notice late in the evening and warmly welcomed, and were allowed to leave our bikes in the restaurant overnight. When we left, we were allowed to leave our luggage until the afternoon. The staff were very helpful with loading our luggage - thank you again!

Good budget option

I just stayed quickly for one night while doing the Loire a velo. The staff were friendly, allowed me to store by bike indoors at the reception and there was a decent breakfast option. The room itself was small, but included a tv. The bed was quite tiny though. Location is great - right in city centre and close to the major landmarks.
