Amazing Front Desk Welcome & Wonderful Quiet Bar right downstairs

We neglected to get parking instructions, so we parked on the street and had to drag our luggage a couple of blocks. Ask for the name of the underground parking almost right at their door. I can't recall the name of the front desk guy, but he was the most delightful Indian young man. He saw us coming across the square, with me pushing a walker, so he ran down the stairs and carried our luggage up the stairs while my husband helped me up. He was the most caring, outgoing front desk person I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He spoke English with his lovely accent, apologizing for how rusty his English was. We were given two complimentary mocktails in the lovely bar they have, and met a bartender as charming at the front desk guy. Again, forgot his name, but he was Argentinian and spoke good English as wel. I loved the dark paint and wallpaper - very calming. In spite of being right in the middle of the action, our room was blessed silent. The tram station is right out front so you can just park your car and forget about it. We ate at the Brasserie du Ralliement occupying a grand old theatre just a few steps down from the hotel.

A wonderful hotel right in the centre of town.

A great hotel with an excellent location. All of the staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful. The breakfast was great and we enjoyed being right in the middle of town. Parking was excellent value and our room was well air conditioned. Loved the decor of the hotel it was a lovely boutique hotel.

The person at the front desk and all the other hotel employees are professional and attentive. It is a charming hotel that does not resemble the international standard. It is right in the city center but very quiet, the bedding is comfortable.
The night was good.

Very helpful staff and perfect location in Angers

I will start with everything that was good and I will state the negative points second:
- the staff is really very friendly and very helpful day and night, this concerns all the people we met, which is 6 people
- the location is optimal for going out as you please in the center of Angers and returning to the hotel to rest even after a meal, everything is really nearby: restaurants, bars, museums, theater, cinema, shops... a tram stop at the bottom of the building!
- the view from our room is stunning at any time of day, the one overlooking the Place du Ralliement
- the bedding is very good and the bathroom as well
As for the negative points:
- the hotel needs some finishing touches overall, especially regarding the paint, bathtub caulking, flickering light bulbs...
- the dark triple room really deserves to be redone because it is terribly depressing (the one with the Bob Dylan photo), we asked to change rooms for this reason, which was granted to us without any problem (thank you very much for that)
