This hotel is situated in the centre of Angers, just 260 metres from Angers-Saint-Laud Train Station. It offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi and guests are invited to relax and read magazines in the communal lounge area. Each of the guest rooms at Royal Hotel includes cable TV, a telephone and a work desk. Some rooms feature exposed wooden beams, and they all have a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. A buffet-style breakfast is served every morning in the hotel’s breakfast room. Better than it looks

This hotel delivers more than it promises
The bedrooms are spacious , clean and quiet
The common parts are spacious too, even though the stairs don’t look secure at all
Paul in reception was very friendly and ensured we were received warmly
The outside appearance looks tired , but don’t let that mislead you

French Road Trip Day 2

The saving grace of this shabby, tired, dated & unloved hotel, was the glorious receptionist/concierge/breakfast chef. Not only did he draw us a plan of where to park (opposite), he showed us where to eat, drink & be merry. So regardless of the fact the bed was as hard as nails & we had to reorganise the room to open the window, the breakfast he gave us (which was included) was fresh & fabulous. Like him.

A good value for money hotel

This small hotel is very well located (not far away from the train station) and the main sights of Angers are close by. The breakfast also was very good and the staff efficient and friendly. However there is a problem of quitness (cars passing)

Value for money

My wife and I stayed in the Royal hotel for one night only recently and found the hotel very good value for money. We found the staff excellant to deal with and could no do enough for us. The hotel itself is old and the furniture a bit outdated but for the value of money, central location it could not be beaten for value. Even things like extra pillows and water late at night request were met with a smile from the lovely girl at reception. I would stay again if I had to have another stay over. I reckon one night is fine for a stay.

Découverte d’Angers

Hôtel très bien situé à proximité de la gare et du centre ville. Hôtel et Quartier calme , possibilité de parking fermé.
En cours de rénovation ce qui améliorera son confort simple mais très correct.
Personnel disponible et très accueillant.
