Favorite small inn!

Maison Velvet is a beautiful historical home in a quiet neighborhood inside the walls of the old city. Our room was spacious with a wonderful bed, gorgeous bathroom, and a sitting area right outside our door. Our friendly hostess, Maya, prepared an amazing breakfast every morning and helped us with planning for our day with maps, directions, suggestions, good places to eat, etc. This was my favorite stay in France!

Wonderful B&B in Avignon

We had such a pleasant stay at Maya's B&B. Her beautiful home is tastefully decorated and sits on a quiet street in a good location. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Maya is a kind and gracious hostess. She helped us with our travel plans while staying there for six nights. It was the perfect home base for taking day trips as the train station is within easy walking distance. So glad we chose Maison Velvet for our stay in Provence!

A restful, comfortable stay at a charming B&B in Avignon

This was our second stay at the charming Maison Velvet (the first time was 10 years ago). Despite what I'm sure was a difficult time for this little B&B during the pandemic, everything was just as wonderful as it had been the first time we were there. The room was spotless, comfortable, and cool in spite of the heat in Avignon at that time (there is air conditioning if you need it). Maison Velvet is well located within walking distance of anything you might want to do or see in Avignon. Still, the area and the room were perfectly quiet. Maya was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations, maps, and general advice, and she prepared a marvelous breakfast for us. I would recommend Maison Velvet to anyone headed to Avignon, or you might even want to make a special trip there just to stay at Maison Velvet!

Lovely B&B in outskirts of Avignon

In a quiet neighborhood inside the walled city of Avignon, it's just a 10 -15 minute stroll to the wonderful history filled town center. Our hostess, Mia, was very charming with excellent English. She was so helpful with booking our cab and confirming next stop reservations. Our bedroom/bath was large, comfortable with modern shower. Our included breakfast in charming dining sitting room were perfect combination of fruits, yogurt, and tasty croissants. Definitely would book again.

Absolutely perfect B&B in Avignon

This B&B was really lovely. The Pearl room was large, very well decorated and had everything we could want. It had air conditioning so we could keep cool and the bed was really comfortable so we slept well. Maya was just perfect as a host. In fact, she was the most helpful person we have ever met in our travels! We followed her recommendations and were never disappointed. The breakfast was delicious. We just arrived home and are missing Maison Velvet already! I hope we can return some day.
