Excellent historical hotel in Bayonne's Old Town

We stayed here for 1 night in June 2026.
Pluses:
- heritage building in the old city, in a 16th century timbered house
- kind, helpful staff
- excellent price point
- classic French hotel du charme vibes
- walkable to shops, sights, restaurants, train and bus stations
- quiet
- fast wifi
Minuses:
- no lift, if such things matter
- no A/C (but fans provided)
- no in-room coffee/tea
Overall, I loved it, and highly recommend.

friendly welcome, but why this music too loud that can be heard in our room 106, footsteps noises in the room above us, the guest of this room was awakened at 6 am by the noise of the room above, that's a lot, classified hotel, we tell on, so difficult to remedy this pb!!!

A lot of charm.

Excellent booking by phone with Anaïs. High quality services. Very family Mood. Access to the rooms is "sporty" for elderly people with luggage...However very good location: close to everything that makes the heart of town beat.

Excellent special place to stay in Bayonne.

The most amazing owners--made everything perfect for us. The cafe was wonderful. Quiet part of town, near all tourist places. High recommend!

Great Location, Friendly Owner

Decent value spot in Bayonne. Rooms seem varied by the pics; the three of us all had decidedly more basic rooms than what appears.
Basic and clean; no aircon so can be stifling during heat wave of course.
Breakfast is voluminous and tasty; much more than just a croissant.
The proprietor is friendly and delightful.
