A very good hotel

Great hotel, spacious, clean rooms. The breakfast is very good, there is a variety and fresh products. The reception staff is very kind.

Very disappointing

I am very disappointed with my stay at the Novotel Belfort. The hotel indicates that it is equipped with air conditioning, but it did not work at all in our room. After reporting the problem, we changed rooms, but the situation was exactly the same: the air conditioning only made noise without producing cool air.
Despite our complaints, the staff insisted that the air conditioning was working, just "weakly." In reality, that was not the case. Instead of solving the problem, they simply provided us with a fan.
During hot weather, this is not acceptable for a hotel of this category. If air conditioning is advertised as a service, it must actually be functional. This experience was very disappointing.
Another very concerning problem: the room phone was completely unplugged. It was impossible to plug it back in, because the outlet was behind the sofa bed. When we reported it to the front desk, we were told that the receptionist was alone and could not do anything.
In case of an emergency, it was therefore impossible for us to contact the front desk directly from the room. This is a real security issue and an unacceptable situation for a 4-star hotel.
I expected a much higher level of service. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing and does not correspond to the advertised standards.

Not worth the money

In our room, there was still trash from the previous guests and a plastic bag. The rooms are very worn out and it smells musty in the room and in the hallway. The view was extremely ugly. At 5:00 PM, our room was still not ready. We used the hotel for an overnight stay while passing through. I would not book it again and think that it neither feels like 4 stars nor is it worth the money. Breakfast unspectacular.

Is this a 4-star hotel???? The rooms, everything is mediocre, from the barely cooling air conditioning that is noisy, to the lack of a proper wardrobe
As for the restaurant, only the friendliness of the servers deserves attention. The chicken supreme with so-called "baby potatoes" was an insult to the most basic gastronomy.

An ideal situation with parking.

A simple modern hotel located near downtown and the Belfort Citadel.
Functional room with all amenities. It has a bar and a restaurant but is closed on weekends. Excellent restaurants nearby more than make up for this.
The breakfast in buffet form is excellent and allows for a great start to the day.
