False advertising - no pool available

We wanted to stay in Amiens for 1 night en route to Disneyland Paris as this location had been recommended to us. After looking online i chose this hotel because although it was a little out of the way for central Amiens it is advertised as having a pool which I thought would be perfect for my family after a long day travelling from the Midlands, UK. You can imagine my disappointment when we arrived and the pool (the only reason we had booked this hotel) was closed!
The weather was extremely hot for this time of year with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees and our room did not have air con. I thoroughly recommend visiting the beautiful Amiens but stay in a hotel more centrally located than this one.

Not so bad!

I stayed there one night in the professional setting.
I admit I hesitated a little reading a lot of mixed reviews.
In the end, rather a nice surprise.
So yes the room lived a bit, showering in a bathtub with a shower curtain is bof.
But apart from that the room was clean and standard chain.
Otherwise welcome, dinner very good qualitatively and at the level ratio / quality price.
Not much to complain about in the end, this place is perfectly adapted to a passage in the professional framework.

urgent need for thorough renovation.

Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet my expectations. The general atmosphere was chilly and reminiscent of a refectory rather than a cosy hotel. There was no background music, which made the whole thing even more unsociable. The look feels outdated and reminiscent of the 70s, while we are in 2025. The hotel has clearly had its best time.
The service left something to be desired: there was rarely anyone present at the counter and the staff did not wear uniform clothing, which gave an unprofessional impression.
The room was disappointing. The television was broken and the bathroom was very outdated. Showering had to be in a high bathtub where you had to crawl in, which felt anything but comfortable or safe.
The corridors also did not make a fresh impression; there was a musty, outdated smell that made the stay unpleasant. In addition, the outdoor area around the pool was poorly maintained, with weeds everywhere and no flowers or manicured planting / let alone plants.
With more attention to the little things — like music, warmer and more fun lighting in the breakfast room and restaurant, better ventilation and some flowers or decoration — this hotel could already make a big difference. At the moment it clearly needs a thorough overhaul.
