I live there every year and walk to the shadow palace for about ten or twenty minutes. The most convenient thing is to cook my own meals.

Be careful!
BE CAREFUL! The room was nothing like the pictures! Terribly dirty, hair all over the bed sheets and the bathroom, yellow pillows and stained sheets, dirt inside the toilet and hair in the sink and shower. The bed underneath was shred! This is not about small damages furtniture might have, this is about dirt. The cleanness of the bed and the bathroom is not negotiable in a hostel! It had a weird smell and the room seemed as if it was not cleaned. After 8 hours of travelling we came to see this mess, although we arrived 2 hours later than check in time. Even though we immidiately left the place and did not stay neither of the two nights we had booked, they refused to give our money back. We were so tired yet we had to find another place to go. It was their responsibility to have the room cleaned two hours after check in time without us asking for it. They tried to escape the refund in every way possible. Booking.com felt so sorry for us after the pictures we sent them that they returned us their whole profit of the booking, which unfortunately was way less than what the hostel kept. This is not the way to treat customer/travellers. We feel scammed. We would advice everyone to stay away from this hostel.

Cleanliness: All our rooms are thoroughly cleaned and inspected before every check-in. We take hygiene very seriously, as it is one of our top priorities. Had there been any oversight, we would have been more than willing to address it promptly if notified.
Departure without staying: You chose to leave without giving us the opportunity to assist you or verify your claims, and yet, you completed the booking process and stayed elsewhere. This, unfortunately, indicates an attempt to use the situation to seek a refund without proper justification.
We understand that traveling can sometimes come with challenges, but it is essential to communicate directly with the property to resolve any issues in a fair and timely manner. While we empathize with your experience, we firmly reject the notion that our team acted in bad faith or attempted to "scam" you. On the contrary, we followed all proper protocols and were available to help at any point during your stay.
We value honest and constructive feedback, but it’s important for reviews to reflect the reality of the experience rather than an attempt to misuse the refund process. We hope future guests will recognize that we are committed to providing a welcoming and clean environment for all our visitors.
