The worst hotel experience of my life—avoid this hotel if you value your safety, comfort, and money.
This was, without any doubt, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.
I booked a 3-night stay, but from the moment I arrived it became clear that the hotel had serious issues with both its facilities and customer service. The shower gel dispensers in both the bathroom sink and shower were empty. My room was on the ground floor, where there was constant noise from the lobby and outside until around 3:00 a.m., making it almost impossible to sleep.
The most serious issue was that the balcony door was broken and could not be properly closed. Since the room was on the ground floor with direct access to the garden next to the lobby, anyone could potentially access the room during the night. This was a major security concern.
The air conditioning was also defective. It either failed to cool the room or suddenly became extremely cold with no proper temperature control, making it very uncomfortable.
After a sleepless night caused by the broken balcony door, excessive noise, and faulty air conditioning, I reported these issues to the hotel. Unfortunately, nobody responded until I personally went to the reception. Instead of apologizing or offering a reasonable solution, the staff became confrontational and raised their voices at me. Their attitude was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
As a result, I had no choice but to leave the hotel early and book another hotel at my own expense. Despite the obvious problems and the fact that I did not use the remaining two nights of my reservation, the hotel refused to refund the unused nights or make any effort to resolve the situation.
Overall, this hotel offers no value for money. Poor facilities, serious security concerns, lack of cleanliness, excessive noise, and extremely poor customer service made this an experience I would never want to repeat.

Shockingly bad hotel experience
Hotel Cannes Gallia in June 2026 was a shockingly bad hotel experience. Across the rooms booked at this hotel for our trip to Cannes, our problems ranged from: poor communications pre trip; being told just before we arrived that all our rooms had been cancelled (they had not); a snapped toilet seat in one of the rooms; a shower covered in bugs in another; being shown in a room that had not been cleaned from the previous guest; broken air con unit which then leaked onto a suitcase below; no hot water; and finally, a fridge in one of the rooms which on opening, was covered in mould and contained a previous guest's food. The hotel has not offered any compensation. I'd hate for future guests to get such an awful experience.

Scam / tourist trap to escape absolutely!
Business trip, reservation confirmed and paid in advance for 2 nights (over 300 €) in a room with double bed and balcony. When we arrive at 10pm: no reception, just key boxes. After 15 minutes, a shirtless individual arrives, unable to find our reservation. As a result: a complete hotel, and we are laughed at saying that "it will be hard to find a room at 11pm" in Cannes...
After long calls to his “manager”, he “arranges” us (dixit) by putting us in an unhealthy love room in the basement, without window, damp with drops falling from the ceiling, with a single bed to share for two (pro move!), bathroom open to the bedroom with Jacuzzi and glass shower. All this while telling us that we were “lucky not to sleep in the car”...
The next day, no solution for our second night: we had to leave and find another hotel in an emergency at our expense.
A month later, no refund. The hotel deliberately ignores Booking.com, does not respond to requests and blocks any resolution. It is a scam pure and simple, a tourist trap, shamefully referenced on Booking.
Flee this establishment if you value your vacation, your money and your dignity.

CATASTROPHIC
A real catastrophe. Nothing positive about this hotel. Good advice: do not book there, or cancel your reservation as soon as possible.
Indeed, after seeing beautiful photos on their website, which do not reflect the reality at all, we booked a stay at this property. When we arrived, big surprise: the pool and jacuzzi were closed. The director, apparently very kind at first glance, informs us that they have just closed that morning because of an act of vandalism. However, after speaking with several other customers, we learn that these facilities had actually been closed for several days. We chose this hotel to enjoy the pool and jacuzzi, which was not possible. No excuses, no compensation were offered to us.
Once the room was recovered at 4 p.m., we discovered an accommodation in a deplorable condition: extremely dirty and obviously not according to electrical standards. We therefore ask that it be cleaned, which seems to displease the staff. The shower leaks from everywhere, the joints are moldy and orange, spots hang over the shower, dust is omnipresent on the furniture, some sockets are torn from the wall, and the air conditioning leaked all night.
On the second day, we return to the hotel around 6 p.m. to discover that the room has not been made. When we report it, the staff tries to make us believe that it has been cleaned, even though the bed had not been redone. We're asking to speak to the principal. The receptionist calls her with the speaker on, and we hear her clearly say: “La 205, they will have to stop.” It is simply unacceptable to hear such statements from the head of an institution, especially when customers are simply claiming the benefits they paid for.
Following this, it was out of the question to stay one more night in this unhealthy hotel. We left the scene immediately. Since then, we have been trying to contact management by email and phone for two weeks, without any response.
If we do not get back by next week, a registered letter, with all the evidence, will be sent to the competent authorities to report the dangerous condition of this hotel and question the rating of its three stars.

DON'T go there rather change cities
That's bad! It doesn't even deserve a blink. I highly recommend this hotel...you risk sleeping in the cellar with mice. I've never seen anything like it. As soon as I saw the room I wanted to escape but unfortunately there was no place anywhere. They do not open the breakfast room and when they open it the food is bad, the dishes dirty and they have no attention to intolerances. They don't redo the rooms and when they pretend to redo them they leave the door open so that anyone can enter. There is no receptionist after 19:00 and no one answers the number indicated.
