Beautiful area and lovely place to eat and socialise

Just returned from break in Dournzanac not far from here and went for drink n food every night. Dave and his staff are lovely and all very polite and helpful. Pizzas are lovely as well as burgers steak and gammon,to name a few on menu. quiz night on thur was really busy Well done Dave and thank you for all help and advise you gave us Well worth visit

Simple place , welcome well but difficult depending on the person who receives you, because some people do not speak very well French.
Simple room like the rest. you feel like sleeping with the neighbor of the room that is next to you.
Breakfast with bread and butter toast.

A Lucky Stop

We were on a day trip through the area and were looking for a specific castle near Chalus when we happened upon this establishment in Chalus, right next to the town fountain. We stopped to have a cup of coffee and ended up staying for several hours listening to the advice and stories from the owner and his friends. He is a retired Englishman and moved to Chalus to be near all the historical sites connected with Richard the Lionhearted. We did not spend the night so I can not speak about the hotel side but the restaurant and bar service was quite pleasing and informative. If you are in Chalus you should stop by just for a chat and a beverage. His bar stocks some fine English Ales as well as local favorites.

Cet hôtel est bien placé en centre-ville de Châlus.Un acceuil sympathie et chaleureux Hotel très propre et petit-déjeunercompris dans le prix. Une chambre familiale pour 75 euros . Petit-déjeuner copieux.Cet hôtel est Digne d etre dans le retard.
