ideosyncratic - quiet site, excellent food, good base for exploring area

loy and gine; the hosts, have a large and quiet house on the outskirts of a minor town in the valley north of Aix. The traditional architecture means that rooms don't have a lot of light (heat and light are not friends in the provencal summer), but they are large and calm.
Loy does the cooking and it is very good indeed, I advise dining there as often as possible during your stay. Although we spoke French they have an international set of visitors.
print the directions before setting out, our gps got us close but not in front of the house.
The area is very interesting and the mas de caprier makes a good base from which to explore.
i had a great time biking around the flood plain (fields and dikes) between the Durance and the hills to the east.

Molto di più di un B&B

Un casolare rustico immerso nella campagna con camere ampie, silenziose e con vista su giardino interno.
C'è anche una graziosa piscina naturale con ninfee e ranocchie.
La mattina viene servita una colazione dolce con croissant, pane , marmellate etc.. (compresa nel prezzo)
La sera c'è la possibilità di fare aperitivo e di cenare in loco ad un prezzo fisso ( €35)
La cucina del proprietario è all'altezza di un ristorante di alto livello!
Solitamente viene servito un antipasto, un primo, un secondo e un dessert.
Assolutamente da provare se soggiornerete qui!
I gestori del B&b sono molto gentili e simpatici e parlano molto bene inglese e francese.
Ci mancherà assolutamente questa atmosfera familiare e soprattutto l'ottima cucina!

Mosche e brioches

Il proprietario è stato decisamente maleducato ed arrogante. Si era dimenticato di preparare il terzo letto in una camera. Terzo letto che poi si è rivelato una brandina scomodissima che ci ha fatto pagare 15 euro in più. Quando abbiamo detto che in camera non c'era acqua calda ha detto che era impossibile.... Peccato che dopo 1 ora fosse tutto a posto visto che aveva acceso la caldaia. A colazione ci ha servito pane e brioches circondati da un migliaio di mosche... Siamo scappati.

Séjour de Tranquilité

Situé le long de la Durance au beau milieu de la nature, le Mas du Câprier est en lui même une bulle de tranquilité.
L'accueil, les Repas et les longues conversations avec le propriétaire en font un lieu unique. Magnifique endroit, bien situé pour les visites, et les concerts de la Roque d'Anthéron, proche de Lourmarin, Charleval bien sur, mais aussi Aix, Vauvenargues....
Nous garderons un magnifique souvenir de cet endroit et bien entendu prêt à y retourner!!!

Le charme par excellence

Des hôtes charmants dans un lieu de charme ! Une maison colorée qui donne sur un immense jardin et le massif du Lubéron, une piscine naturelle mitoyenne d'un magnifique bassin à nénuphar où il fait bon siroter un verre de vin de la sélection de Loy, le propriétaire, fin gourmet et excellent cuisinier ! Deux jours de grand dépaysement et de calme.
