This is the place to go to! Lovely house in the countryside and you can hear the birds sing. I love this place.

Charming place

We stayed in this bed and breakfast twice and had a great time. Spacious room, impeccable overlooking a beautiful garden and well maintained. Really relaxing place where in the evening you can hear frogs singing, foxes, owls. In short, a total immersion in nature and peace. In the morning you can enjoy the excellent breakfasts prepared by Nicolas, based on homemade products, all excellent. An experience to try and that I hope to be able to repeat as soon as possible to continue visiting the beautiful and rich region.

A wonderful place to stay

We stayed here a few months ago and had a wonderful time. Marie Luce was very welcoming and her home made breakfasts were superb. The accomadation, in this beautiful old building, was lovely and the old workings that are still in situ were of great interest.
We hope to go back for another visit in the not to distant future, and would like to stay longer and see more of the surrounding area.

A Friendly Welcome from the Moulin de la Croix

I booked the Moulin de la Croix for my parents who were visiting Charnizay for the first time. Marie-Luce and Henri provided a very welcoming service and my parents loved the room, gardens and breakfast. The rooms are individually styled and have private bathrooms. This is a historical building, and you can see this for yourself as the mill-working machinery is still evident throughout and is a wonderful feature. Marie-Luce speaks some English and this was helpful for my parents who do not speak French. Breakfast consisted of pastries, bread and fruit including home made produce and things from the garden. I would certainly book the Moulin again and recommend it to other travellers visiting the area.
