Good stay after a false start
We had booked this hotel well in advance to discover the Drôme and the Vercors. In the Vercors, hotels with air conditioning are rare, so that is the main reason (along with the elevator) for our choice. We had opted for the Rimbaud suite at the price of € 1554 for 8 nights, payable at the time of booking (unfortunately).
Let's start with the positive points:
1) Good bedding and large bathroom with a bathtub and walk-in shower
2) Large parking lot and elevator
3) Coffee machine in the rooms
4) Nice pool and spa offer
5) Mini-bar in the suites with two bottles of Vittel at €2
For the rest, the hotel has absolutely nothing to do with a 4* hotel
1) Only one cup for two to brush our teeth
2) No glasses for the minibar; after asking, I received two paper cups
3) Towels on the floor are simply put back in the shower, no service like everywhere else in France: on the floor means exchange, otherwise I keep the towel
4) No makeup remover wipes, body lotion…
5) The AC in the suite is a real joke: we set it to the minimum 17 degrees power and the temperature never went below 25 degrees! Reaction at the front desk: "oh but you manipulated the remote control" (fixed at 23 degrees, 32 in the room upon arrival) "It works so no problem and it is hot outside" Let's just say that in the Tarn the AC had no problem reaching the 20 degrees required for sleeping by setting it to 18! Coming in from an exhausting excursion in the heatwave and seeing that the thermometer was once again exceeding 26, I started to reorganize my trip. Admittedly €1550 down the drain, but better that than jeopardizing my health by spending a week of sleepless nights. I headed back to the front desk with this news and the manager immediately took action. According to his thermometer near the AC, the room was 23.6 and that is a perfect temperature for sleeping. Furthermore, the hotel's policy was not to allow the AC to go below 23 degrees. Knowing that usually you have to add two degrees for the actual temperature… I had had enough and told him that this should be put on the website, that we would never have come and especially not at €200 a night without breakfast. That I would rather cancel my stopover and drive back in one go to sleep in the cool, even though I would have paid more than €1500 for nothing.
6) Clearly my determination had its effect and suddenly a luxury chalet was offered to us. Much more limited in space but air-conditioned as it should be. So we changed rooms and a second stay began
7) Unusual chalet without a private spa at the price of suites with a spa, significantly more expensive, which makes sense
a. Smaller than a suite but with optimized space
b. Lots of storage (which is missing in the Rimbaud suite)
c. Small terrace shaded all day long to enjoy a coffee or a refreshing drink after swimming (because there are no umbrellas on that side due to the wind. Note that there are chairs with a "roof") d.
TV with hundreds of themed channels e.
Absolute quiet because even being first on the "street," the entrances face the park and are completely private. Breakfast
The classic in France + egg and sausage for € 17. Only the baguette, which I couldn't chew with my denture.
No fruit salad or brioche or bread to toast. 7) Fair value for money.
The bistronomic restaurant
1) Many revisited dishes, some of which are very successful and others less so
2) Top-notch service
3) But the first evening, like in €13 RR: "Please keep your cutlery" ???? (foie gras appetizer, fish main course...)
4) Value for money not top-notch
The tapas bar
Of its kind: nothing to complain about, good service, good quality of the soft rolls (you can learn things on the other side of the park...) and a very decent value for money.
Conclusion
After a night and day full of stress and frustration, we were able to appreciate the gesture of putting us up in a higher category room at no extra cost. We therefore did not use the spa because we wanted to be respectful. The spa did not interest us, but a cool room did.
The suites on the second floor with a large terrace without shade or umbrellas are undoubtedly ideal in the spring or autumn to enjoy the beautiful view and the warmth. In summer, avoid them because it is too hot even if you stay in the dark all day.
In summer, opt instead for the chalets in the shade with more efficient air conditioning. ( 22 degrees at dawn on sunny days, 20 after the storm)

A pleasant and sweet break in an atypical place
The service is kind and responsive. Special mention for Roman at the restaurant! We were also able to enjoy the spa twice: it is superb! And very complete in terms of offer, not to mention the quality of massages that we greatly appreciated. In short, we will come back!

Very nice place: a beautiful park, huge rooms full of character, a welcome at the top... and excellent value for money for the new restaurant menu.

(spa & massages) received as a gift for Christmas.
Very nice setting.
I was able to book the day very quickly (which is good for people who work at the last moment like me).
Friendly welcome, fortunately my interlocutor warned me that I had to bring towel and shoes (flip-flops), even if the structure can provide if needed.
* I had simply asked to come back by 14:45 but I learn at lunch that it is 14:00 and I was not notified but the information must not have been transmitted
• Aquatizer and very pleasant flotation basin
• Experience also (even if 1h30 is more than enough for me).
*think about changing the bed in the Himalayan salt cave
But the BEST part remains the afternoon in the massage room:
• Young professional woman with a great playlist choice!
• PERFECT pressure, I didn’t have to ask anything at this level (and it’s rare)
• Full scrub (body front & back chain + face) toned but pleasant for the body, and gentle for the face so perfect
• and the perfect body and face massages, I had to fall asleep half the session

delicate and refined
it is always a pleasure to enjoy a meal in this place whose decoration is very charming as well as the welcome. You will not be disappointed and your eyes will be like your taste buds, awake.
Small downside: some "clumsiness" (and this, several times) in terms of service during the meal, small things but which for a place of this standing denote a bit; it is not much but takes excellence away from my comment.
