Sequoia Lodge
Lovely hotel. We had golden forest rooms. The aircon worked well but the TV was a bit hit and miss. There were not enough plug sockets for the amount of charging that we all need to do these days. The little charging unit only seemed to have 1 working port.
The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice but the placing of the milk machine was nowhere near the coffee and tea machine which seemed odd. The cast members at Sequoia Lodge were all really lovely and friendly. They were very attentive and helpful to the kids. I was impressed by them all.
The hotel is a short walk or bus ride to the parks. The huge veranda was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink after a tiring day in the parks.

Poor facilities.
Good location. Room amenities are very poor.
Double room (accessible for disabled) has no outlets by the bed; extension cord costs €30 deposit. Air conditioning is very weak.
The refrigerator is small and weak. The furnishings are very old. No wardrobe. One nightstand for two people. Slow internet.

Lovely greeting on arrival. All staff were very friendly and the hotel was immaculate. A great feel to the hotel and superb location. Room was lovely and cleaned every day. The only one criticism was there are very little plugs to plug in to.

First Time!!
RIGHT! Back home and sort of sorted ... the cases are still to get into the loft but all the washing and present giving etc has been completed and photos have been ordered... Time for the review...
We drove from East Anglia and stayed for 5days/4nights at the end of august at Sequoia Lodge... with tiny spicy humans.
I'll do my winging first!
• We checked in fine but had to wait till after 3 for our room number... never got the room number... we didn't get it till we returned back from the park after 6pm.
• Although the room was lovely, the window handles had all been removed so you couldn't open the windows and therefore the room did smell quite musty.
• The air conditioning did not work and therefore there was no circulation and it didn't get a comfortable temperature so not only the kids but us adults struggled with sleep too.
• The app, although great didn't update very easily and crashed very easily so we missed a couple of the virtual queues and the location on the map was very slow to load so often didn't work out location as easily using technology...
That's my winging over... now for the good bits... OMG! it was magical... right down to the music, decor, right down to the paving for each area and the cast members uniforms. We only met one slightly grumpy CM but ya know what... working in a quick serve restaurant at a busy lunchtime... I get it!

The photo pass is an absolute must... we definitely could have used it so much more and been so much more organised with the photo ops as well but its a lesson for next time!

We had the half board meal plan... tbh... it was lovely however everyone was so tired we couldn't do breakfast AND magic hour... so missed breakfast a few times to get the rides and queues we wanted... however on the flip side we could use our meal plan in the quick serve restaurants so this was a major plus.

Spicy kids and Disney... wow. All the music, the new smells, noises etc was a challenge... we hired a wagon from adventure kit hire which was an absolute game changer! Probably better if said spicy kids get along so there was still a few meltdowns/fights but again... lessons learnt for next time <<
