Not given but very nice to do once
We had booked the package "La vie de château"; this represented 2 days, 1 night, breakfast and dinner in the 1 star restaurant. We enjoyed having a castle life experience for 2 days with receptionists and waiters with little care, who were there to accompany us for all our requests. The area is very nice and it is very nice to walk there.

Chateaux Faulty Towers
This is an overpriced location on all fronts.
Not all the rooms have air-conditioning - be aware.
The rooms are small and tired.
The restaurant food is over priced eg. 65 Euro for a small langoustin course.
The restaurant was full of flies hovering and landing on our table both at dinner and at breakfast.
Check-out was a disaster, I paid an incorrect bill. They then sent another payment request after we left for someone else's charges. Only came to light when I asked to see the breakdown. I redid everything myself and sent it back, thinking they would wave the remaining 170 euros outstanding on my account, no they still want payment.

As you may know, France experienced an exceptional heatwave during your stay, which made it particularly challenging to prevent insects from entering outdoor. But, the situation is now fixed.

Not worth a Visit
Poor service, food maybe be worthy of a Michelin star but everything else is lacking. Pool area not maintained. Had to go to the kitchen to find someone to serve a drink. No tea making facilities in our room. Flies everywhere in the restaurant! Drink prices are silly and when drinks are poured they vary hugely depending on who poured them.
Been to much better Chateaux in France. Don’t bother.

A 4 night stay, too pricey and poor service
Over priced, getting a little tired and poor food and beverage service
We stayed 4 night, 90% of people stay for one night as a stopover.
We waited 30 mins for a drink and another 1hr 15 mins after the booked time for dinner before walking out.
The food we had the night before was tepid, more style than substance and very expensive.
We wouldn’t return even for a night stopover, the grounds are very nice, reception staff excellent, bar and restaurant poor service but they seem beholden to the chef who clearly is in charge

The life of luxury
A great castle from the late 17th century and a splendid French garden. A magical place... Attentive service but sometimes a bit overwhelmed. Rooms with outdated charm. However, the bathroom facilities leave much to be desired: hot water issues. When your neighbor takes a shower, you have no hot water. Hardly acceptable in a hotel of this category. Good dining: delicious appetizers, delightful desserts. We were a bit disappointed by the dishes (fish): too salty for our taste. Carefully prepared breakfast.
