Disappointment

Way too expensive. The services do not match the description provided.
Old hotel with very basic comfort.
We do not recommend it.

Nous sommes désolés que votre séjour n'ait pas répondu à vos attentes.
En revanche, votre commentaire, particulièrement lapidaire, ne nous permet malheureusement pas de comprendre ce qui justifie une appréciation aussi catégorique. Il est toujours plus facile de progresser lorsque les critiques sont étayées par des éléments concrets.
Notre établissement est un hôtel de caractère, avec son histoire et son identité. Son architecture, son ambiance ainsi que le niveau de confort sont largement illustrés par les nombreuses photographies et descriptions mises à disposition avant toute réservation. Rien n'est dissimulé, et chacun est libre de choisir l'établissement qui correspond le mieux à ses attentes.
Quant à nos tarifs, ils tiennent compte de la situation exceptionnelle de l'hôtel, de la qualité de notre restauration, de nos services et de la saison. Nos nombreux retours positifs témoignent d'ailleurs du fait que la grande majorité de nos clients y trouvent un excellent rapport entre le lieu proposé et l'expérience vécue.

The property has spectacular views across the Dordogne Vally and the river itself. The breakfast was very good, value for money. The staff ( lead by Sophia) was excellent. Parking as you expect for hilltop town. We really enjoy stay.

Amazing place in a beautiful village. Hotel is beautiful, window views are magical. Dinners are super tasty. Loved the whole experience.

This hotel is slightly quirky but is very nice. I slept very well here and enjoy my room and the view over the valley. I didn’t eat at the restaurant for breakfast or dinner and I wanted something light, so can’t comment on the food. The view from the restaurant looked amazing.
The only thing that would make the stay better would be to provide guests with a kettle to make tea or coffee in their rooms. I will definitely stay here again.
There’s no elevator so if you have heavy bags, be prepared to carry them up stairs.
