Fantastic place to stay!
What a fantastic experience! This hotel is located in a beautiful historic building that has been maintained with great care and respect for its authentic appearance. The combination of character, atmosphere and comfort makes it a special place to stay.
Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the extremely friendly and helpful staff. Throughout our stay they were always ready with smiles and excellent service.
The room was really great: spacious, tastefully decorated, spotless and fully equipped. The comfortable bed ensured a wonderful night's sleep and the attention to details made the stay extra pleasant.
The common areas also exude history and charm, while the modern comfort is nowhere missing. Everything was taken care of to perfection.
We also used the restaurant. Again we enjoyed although the main course duck was just a little overcooked but fortunately did not taste like liver. We had dinner outside and the ambiance was great.
1 Tip I would like to give. The restaurant wants to radiate something to distinguish itself from other restaurants, but make sure all wine glasses are the same as the larger model. That does give it more of a look. Drinking an expensive wine from a water glass is also not doable. That's why I asked for a bigger wine glass. In addition, there is no sight to see all the tables with different wine glasses. That is the only comment for me too.
A hotel where hospitality, quality and history come together perfectly. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a special and relaxing stay. We would love to come back!

Fabulous hotel, timeless.
Hotel housed in a historic building, fabulously renovated. The contemporary has been put at the service of the old to give it an incredible charm. We are very far from an Accor hotel with standardized rooms and kit bathrooms. Naturally, there are some drawbacks related to the architecture, notably the accessibility of the rooms, but also of the hotel itself. You had better be in shape and on two legs, otherwise death awaits you. Do not expect the assistance of a bellhop because there is none; too bad if you brought your wardrobe with you. The rooms are magnificent, the view, for those lucky enough to have a balcony (me), is timeless. The breakfast is excellent, with fresh products. A small disappointment with dinner because, while the quality is excellent, even gastronomic, the portions served are ridiculously small. There is also a pretty little pool, gardens that look like cloisters, wells, fountains, etc. Charm, I tell you! With two more carrots on the plate and a bellhop, this hotel would be at a five-star level.

Wonderful!!!!
Magnificent hotel!!! If you like old stone, I highly recommend this hotel to you. The rooms are modern, but the inner courtyard as well as the walls are made of old, antique stone. It is absolutely beautiful. Very clean, very quiet hotel and the staff is very attentive to its guests!!!! The various dishes at the hotel restaurant are all delicious!! Everything is perfect!!!

Difficult access by car and limited food choice
The hotel entrance is on a narrow one way street. The street is blocked by road works about 50 yards before the hotel. The hotel does not tell you this, or provide a map. So arrival is a fraught matter of GPS luck.
There is no drop off parking. The hotel car park is about 150 yards away, but up a very steep footpath, anyone with limited mobility will find it difficult to walk to. Nobody tells you that either. Leaving the hotel requires walking the steep hill, getting lost driving back due to the blocked road and arriving in front of the hotel fraught again. Miraculously the three staff on reception, who did not seem too busy, had all disappeared, so we loaded the heavy suitcases ourselves.
The hotel menu is very small and the same menu for lunch and dinner. There does not seem to be any form of room service, or alternative "light bite" menu. My wife's fillet of sole, was actually a slice of a large white fish. My rabbit, tough and almost cold. We sat in the 32 o C courtyard, there was no choice of being able to eat in the cooler inside.
We had one of the best rooms, cleaning was brief and peremptory. A quick change of towels and the bed pulled up. The same dead fly sat on the bathroom floor for two days showing no attempt to mop or vacuum.
All in all a hotel that could be very good, it's fully air conditioned, but spoilt by the parking, food and room cleanliness.

Our cuisine is highly regarded by both local residents and visitors, and we take great pride in the quality of our products and service. While the majority of our guests choose to dine in our beautiful historic courtyard during the summer season, air-conditioned indoor seating is always available upon request. Furthermore, a room service menu is available in every guest room for guests who prefer to dine in private or enjoy a lighter meal option.
Concerning housekeeping, our records show that the "Do Not Disturb" sign remained displayed on your door throughout your stay. In order to respect our guests' privacy, our housekeeping team does not enter rooms for full cleaning service when this sign is displayed. As a result, only limited service could be provided during your stay. Nevertheless, we are sorry if the level of cleanliness did not meet your expectations.

Beautiful hotel and charming staff
I have hesitated on the rating to give due to the building where it is located. It has a huge charm as it is a very well-restored historic building, but that same aspect becomes a drawback when it comes to details that do not favor rest, such as street-facing windows that do not insulate sound or bathroom fans that do not stop running all night. Or details of aging in the facilities. However, what led me to give the highest rating was the kindness with which they responded when we saw that the assigned room was too noisy: they solved it by giving us a superior and much quieter room. This is greatly appreciated. The breakfast is buffet-style with a selection similar to other hotels and of good quality. And being located in the city center, one can walk to the main places and restaurants. It has paid parking (12€ per night) about a 3-minute walk away, but they do not have a charger for electric cars.
