Very relaxing.

Beautiful place. Very warm hostess.
The very comfortable rooms are decorated with paintings by the hostess.
The available kitchen is appreciated.
We forgot our swimsuits, unfortunate for us.
In the evening, we had our meal by the pool.

Cheap B&B of acceptable quality

This was the cheapest and least recommendable of all the B&Bs we stayed at during our fortnight in France. It is nicely sited in the countryside, but that was the one real positive for us. When we arrived at 7 p.m. having booked ahead on our way home to Switzerland, the hostess was serving dinner to another group of guests so just quickly showed us to our accommodation. This was an average-sized en suite bedroom on the ground floor, directly adjacent to the dining / breakfast room; we spent the evening listening to the group enjoying their meal and smelling the food they were eating, a smell that lingered in our room until the early hours. Our room was functional and clean, but stark and unattractive. The guest complex is in a converted barn with large windows, and on this particular evening (and at breakfast) it was cold and uninviting. Breakfast was minimalistic compared to what we had experienced in Normandy and Brittany, with just baguette, butter, jam, coffee and a piece of cake. Looking at some of the other reviews, I could imagine that we saw this B&B in its worst light, so I am giving it a 3 instead of the 2 it deserved for our stay. When the whole complex is occupied by the same family or group of friends, when the weather is more cheerful (there is a swimming pool in the grounds), and when the children can enjoy meeting the donkeys in a field close to the house, I could imagine this is a pleasant and reasonably-priced place to stay for a few days.

Fantastic experience from A to Z

We've rented the whole place for a family week-end. Not only the guests were really welcoming, the fire in the large living room was too!
The rooms were large, clean and nicely decorated. The location is very quiet (perfect for a good rest).
The breakfast was delicious with home made cakes and fresh bread from the morning.
The perfect stay really.

The plus and minus of Les Malvaux

The minus was -5c on the night of arrival just very cold; the plus was a warm comfortable room, a welcome fire in a large sitting room, good rustic dinner and a decent breakfast. We expected to stay in a rural barn and got exactly that and was very pleased with our choice. It may not be as swish as some places but the host is welcoming and helpful. Would we stay again, yes is the answer.

REPOSANT ET TRÈS ACCUEILLANT

Cadre champêtre et reposant ; c’est la campagne : parfait pour une déconnexion totale et des retrouvailles en famille.
La chambre d’hôtes est équipée d’une belle piscine sécurisée, d’un trampoline et d’une table de ping-pong.
Nathalie, la propriétaire des lieux est très agréable, ces petits déjeuners sont exceptionnels et ses conseils avisés si vous voulez des renseignements pour des visites dans le secteur.
Je recommande cet endroit où l’on se sent bien.
