Amazing history of this castle that has gone through the turbulence of the centuries remaining authentic

Perfect, a very nice experience in a beautiful setting.
A haven of peace and serenity in the middle of an exceptional site. The master of the premises welcomes you with kindness at your disposal and simplicity.

No food or drink offered.

Went on a bank holiday, all shops and restaurants closed and also the hotel dining room. Did not offer any alternative for dinner and also there was nothing to drink in the room not even a bottle of water. So paid a lot for going hungry.

Je vous avais averti avant votre arrivée que nous ne proposons pas de dîner d'hôtes.
Il y a toujours des bouteilles d'eau dans l'accueil d'entrée,
Vous pouviez le cas échéant nous demander.
Nous ne maîtrisons pas les horaires d'ouverture des commerces proches.
Il y a toujours des possibilités de restauration dans un rayon de 10-15km.

A lovely stay in a traditional French home.The grounds are wonderful

A comfortable bed, and a magnificent dinner were all we required and we got it. A narrow access to the bathroom could cause an issue for some guests but we were fine.
The dinner was excellent and so was the wine. The breakfast was also wonderful which fulfilled all our requirements

Charming relaxing hotel

We have had a wonderful two days in this beautiful chateau. Our room was huge with a magnificent view, furnished with interesting antique furniture but with a modern touch and beautiful paintings. Very comfortable bed, lots of character. Our host Jean Luc greeted us warmly when we arrived and gave is the history of the house. We were able to roam the grounds and see the little chapel, the medieval old farmhouse. Total peace and quiet.The first night we had a delicious dinner with a chocolate fondant dessert ‘to die for’ it was so good. Breakfasts were lovely, with a variety of breads and cakes, freshly made crepes, yoghurt. We would recommend this not just as stopover en route to Brittany, but an area to explore. We went to an evening concert in the Abbey at Paimpont, walked in the forest of Broceliande, wandered round Montfort and saw a kingfisher in town in its lovely parkland and marvelled at the beautiful 1540 coloured glass window in Iffendic church. Highly recommended.

Wonderful historic chateau

Jean Luc is not only the most welcoming host but he's also a talented artist and an outstanding chef. Dinner was one of the best we've ever had and my wife thought that his chocolate fondant was even better than s*x !
