Lovely hotel

This is the second time we have stayed at this delightful hotel. Excellent food comfortable rooms and the owner is a delight

Ideal stopover in an interesting little town

Overall, a most enjoyable one-night stay: the bedroom had a few rough edges, but was good-sized and comfortable. Disappointing though that only a bath, no shower. Dinner, on the beautiful terrace, was excellent (although like a previous reviewer, we were not offered the £23.50 midweek menu). Easy parking alongside, and a nice (if sleepy) little town to wander round. Ideal location for travelling to and from Calais (4 hours away); Joinville is on the really useful free alternative (D20) to the tolled A26/A5 route to Dijon.

Just about ok. Food redeemed the awful room.

Booked a double room for return journey from Italy. The room we were allocated number 26 did not bear any resemblance to rooms on website. The blind was broken, light bulbs were not working and no bedside tables. The redeeming factor was the exquisite meal we had in the evening. Again in their website it appears to have a set menu for €23.50 midweek but that was not on offer to us, it was the usual menu, the food was excellent however as was a good breakfast selection. There was a large party staying there so we can only presume they got the better rooms and as we were only there for one night we got what was left. Only other snag was not being able to check in until 5.30pm ..we found somewhere to get a drink and use the loo before that time.

Perfect

A warm and helpful welcome from Fred, beautiful accommodation and the biggest bed we’ve ever slept in. We enjoyed a walk round the pretty village before returning for an exceptionally good dinner. This small comfortable hotel is everything you would hope for, we loved it.

Very pleasant stay

Very pleasant stay in business evening. Very friendly welcome.
Superb room, excellent dinner, with appetizer, starter+main course+dessert.
Decent breakfast.
Easy parking.
Excellent value for money.
