This is a a beautiful old chateau which operates as a hotel. The staff is lovely and very accommodating to travelers. I do t speak any French and the staff speaks little English but we managed just fine. I stayed in the carriage house. The room was very basic but had a remodeled bathroom.
Probably the biggest issue was the heat and a lack of air conditioning. I had temps ranging from 98-102 the entire time I was there so that was hard. Just know this when you plan.
The restaurant is wonderful and reasonable for Europe. It was the best food I had in three weeks traveling in Europe. One of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time.
Breakfasts are wonderful and again, very reasonable. Fresh fruit, ham, meat and cheeses along with fresh breads and pastries.
You should definitely rent a car if staying her. Ubers are a fortune to and from this location. Double of what you would expect. It’s not walkable to town or any conveniences.
That said, it was a quiet and very quaint stay and again, the staff was fantastic.

Room a bit crowded so kept bashing leg/arm moving around, otherwise good.
A beautiful setting and we enjoyed the unassuming amenities: pool (in this hot weather!) as well as table tennis and mini golf.

Well worth a stay

Wonderful location, close to the main “autoroute” Paris Orleans Toulouse. Lovely large room with excellent beds. Had a great dinner, excellent service.

Disappointed.

Our room had a gloomy bathroom with plumbing fixtures dating back to the 19th century. Even the toilet seat was not suitable. Regarding a so-called superior room, I wonder how the others are. The bedding is of excellent quality.
The meals, considering the price, are very average, as is the service.

A place not to be missed!

We are delighted with the short stay at Château des Muids. An excellent welcome, a very pleasant staff, refined cuisine, the comfort of our room, all in a very pleasant setting.
