Excellent rentals in Léon Landes. Quiet..

Excellent welcome. Studio Les Ajoncs of 30 m2 with a view of the lake on one side and a view of the greenery and trees on the other. To recommend. We will come back with pleasure. Landais breakfast. Perfect. THANKS.

Quiet hotel in a great location

Very friendly welcome, very clean, quiet, very comfortable hotel, magnificent view of the lake from the rooms, only the breakfasts are a little simple. But apart from that, I really recommend this hotel.

Beautiful Location, ideal for long journey break

We chose this Hotel as it was a convenient break point on our journey from Southern Spain to the UK. Directions were easy to follow and the Hotel was far better than we expected! It is literally next to the lake. There is a wide gravel path round the lake and suggested routes of varying distances.
There was plenty of parking and the welcome at reception was in English which was appreciated. We had asked for an end of corridor room as we were travelling with our dogs, the receptionist explained that they couldn't give us that room, but she had ensured there were no other dogs in that wing of the hotel. The room was spacious and had a balcony with a view of the lake.
The restaurant had a good choice of meals, both a la carte and set price menu and the staff spoke several languages and were willing to explain details or make suggestions.
There is a separate bar and numerous small seating alcoves around the large reception area so that you are able to feel part of the hotel but private at the same time.
There are spa facilities at the hotel but we did not use them.

Very helpful

Good hotel in a great location. The staff are helpful and genuinely want to please. It would be a good place to chill for a few days or an overnight stop. There is a good barafe nearby (don't let its appearance put you off). Hotel breakfast and rooms are fine although our bathroom was tiny.

Lakeside find

We had deliberately pre-booked nothing for our French holiday, taking the line of "when we find somewhere we like, let's stay longer". That's what happened at the Hotel du Lac. Situated at the waters edge, we fell asleep listening to the waves gently lapping, and the fish glooping and catching surface insects. Our room had a balcony, and I would recommend the extra few Euros for this. Plenty to do locally, if you like active. Cycle hire did for us, and I'd recommend this as well.
