Absolutely avoid .

Avoid , very obvious problem with prostitution and drug and alcohol intoxication , at any given time of the day directly outside the hotel it was extremely unnerving. I understand there is only so much the hotel can do but there has to be some resolution. There is loud shouting and arguing all night from the same people . Unfortunately it was very late and I had travelled a long way and didn’t have another option to stay elsewhere otherwise I would have.
Definitely should have checked trip advisor first as it appears this is an ongoing situation.

A hotel that needs to improve its services

This hotel takes advantage of its location near Old Lille. Prices only keep increasing, but they are not justified. At the front desk, no smiles, and the rooms are not well cleaned, nor are the duvets. You really get the impression that the staff is not professional at all and the manager is absent.

Stains on the mattress and tiny, tiny room. The main bed was 2 singles pushed together. The whole area just smelt of urine

Once and for all.

The hotel is in a great location. That's the only plus.
The rooms are small and because we smelled directly that there was smoking in the room, we got another room. That turned out to be a room for disabled people on the ground floor, so more space. The bathroom was completely large but lacked a trigger to dry the floor because the water went through the whole room!
Biggest flaw of the hotel: there is NO AIR CON!
And with temperatures outside well above 30 degrees, it was really hot everywhere inside!
We did have a window in the room but it was locked. After we asked for a key at the reception, someone came to open the window. Because we stayed on the ground floor we could not open the window too far because of the view. At night there is a lot of activity outside: scantily clad ladies walked back and forth in the state.
I would rather spend a little more money and stay in a climate-controlled room because really sleeping has not happened.

Huge disproportion between the cost (150 euros/night) and the quality of the accommodation. No AC, which during the heat wave we experienced has been a nightmare. Very spartan room, no space for shelving my clothes. The location in principle is ok, on the side of the old city, and at a short walk from the train stations, but the street is very noisy because of the traffic. Breakfast is superbasic. I do not recommend it.
