A pleasant step
A very good Welcoming at Brit Hotel Macon. Nice and very quiet night, comfortable room including linen and bedding. It is clean and well located (close to the highway access). The meal was simple but good. Same for breakfasts. We recommend without problem.

Staff very helpful. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room . We don’t take breakfast, in the morning before departure, We poured ourselves a cup of tea and a cup of Coffee, they charged us €9.00. Not impressed ☹️

HORRIBLE!
Extremely disappointing stay.
We made it clear when booking that we came with a baby and a dog. Upon arrival, instead of a professional welcome, we were treated to insistent remarks about the noise our baby might make during the night. For the record, he was in his stroller, perfectly quiet, without making any noise. We were told several times that the hotel was empty and that the rooms were grouped on the same side for the housekeepers, insisting heavily that he should not cry. As if a baby could sign a silence charter... We simply replied that a baby can cry for a bottle at night, and that it is unpredictable.
Another unacceptable point: no crib was planned or proposed, although we had reported its presence.
At the time of payment, the reception took the liberty of speaking to us haughtily because the credit card was not signed on the back. Look up at the sky, your patronising, inappropriate innuendo as to whether it was our card... Very humiliating.
The assigned room was located at the boiler room, with constant external noises echoing in the room. Ironic when we were given a whole speech about the silence of our baby, when the establishment itself generates noise nuisance.
And to top it all off: after going up to the room, my spouse went back down to get some forgotten water from the car. When he opened the door, he caught the receptionist listening behind our door. When we pointed out, he explained that it was “normal” to avoid noise nuisance in the hotel. Finding it normal to listen at customers’ doors is extremely intrusive and inappropriate. Faced with our remarks, no questioning, only bad faith.
Regarding the condition of the rooms, the cleanliness clearly leaves something to be desired: dirty carpets and showers that overflow to the point of flooding the bathroom.
Respect, benevolence and professionalism should be the basis in a hotel establishment. This stay is definitely not worthy of a 3-star hotel. We do not recommend this property, especially for families.

Successful overnight stay
Easy access, private parking for a fee (12€) or free within a few dozen meters. Pleasant Welcoming, attentive Service. Clean room, comfortable bedding, Italian shower with water adjustable as needed, very nice. Breakfast is good. No egg except hard-boiled eggs but various breads, local products (jams, honey), some cheese and cold cuts including pressed head, and of course cereals. Fresh pressed orange juice, the machine gives good-lasting coffee. Nice stay. Quite a few restaurants in the area and near the Saône.

Comfortable and central room
Comfortable and spacious room very close to the center of Mâcon. Clean bathroom. Good breakfast, albeit with little variety. The staff was very friendly.
