Our room was over-the-top fabulous! Spacious, lovely and well laid out, with every amenity provided. The bathroom was huge, with double-sinks and plenty of counterspace and storage.
The balcony was amazing - commanding a lovely view of the Mediterranean, feeling the breeze from the sea, hearing the call of the seagulls, seeing the sunset, overlooking the lovely pool area.
I only wished I could stay for longer.

Location of the hotel and the room were amazing, but the service was horrible: 1) the night we arrived - the restaurant was closed for an event and the music was loud all night, and there was not clear way to get a drink at the hotel; 2) we decided to have our last night dinner at the hotel, was the worse meal in France we had, despite having a kid we were basically ignored for an hour (because of the another event); 3) for the airport we asked for a larger van to fit a group with a luggage, and we got a small car in the morning and hotel refused to take any responsibility; 4) on top - they tried to charge me the rate I already paid hotel.com

Hotel Golden Tulyp Marseille- A hotel to return

A very good location, three blocks from the Cathedral and close to a large shopping mall and a coastal raamba.
The very spacious room with 2x2 bed, air conditioning, complimentary bathing shoes, spacious bathroom. With closet safe deposit box
Breakfast is very complete, including among other things: Serrano ham, smoked salmon, fruit, pastries, coffee and tea, plus milk and yogurt, very complete breakfast buffet.
The hotel is very comfortable, has a lobby bar offering all kinds of prepared spirits and drinks.}
A very good hotel, located in a very good shopping area of Marseille, with restaurants and cafes nearby. I would definitely return to this hotel if I returned to Marseille.

Great property and location. Walking distance to beaches and restaurants. The gym and spa are clean and well maintained. Rooms are a little small but not bad.

The hotel is definitely the nicest in the area with beautiful views of the hippodrome and sea. The fitness and spa amenities are great, and the food and wine are quite good. Restaurant service is typically South French, that is to say, merely ok on a good day.
My room was a bit worn with the room door, terasse door, and toilet flush button all barely working. However it was very roomy.
Housekeeping was hit or miss over the 11 days of my stay, sometimes forgetting to replace or clean things and towards the end my beauty products were taken from the shower and never returned.
Front desk staff is kind and helpful. Breakfast buffet is good, but very pricey at €25 for what is available. Dinner and drink prices are more reasonable.
