Lovely old hotel, bike friendly

This hotel has won an award for charm and character, and rightly so. It's full of interesting art and memorabilia and the decor and general atmosphere were truly charming. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a huge bathroom. There's al arge garden! The bikes were safely locked in the easy to access garage. This old mansion is right on the Eurovelo 6. The breakfast was good, in a magnificent room. Gabrielle and Robert looked after us very well.

Old hotel, no elevator

Old building with wooden floors and stairs. Parking spaces are limited. Staff was friendly and helpful but spoke only limited English. No elevator, I actually witness that guy on wheelchair have to be carried by his friends up to stairs.
Room with big old fashioned key was small located on third floor accessible only by narrow stairway. Furniture and beds were old. Bathroom small but equipped with bath tub.
Breakfast buffet had really limited selection of food.
All hotels were sold out which was reason I book this hotel.

Old chateau with old fixtures

From the outside the hotel is like your imagined French chateau. Inside, age has caught up with the furnishings and bathroom. Rooms are tiny, beds too and hardly any space to turn around in the shower. Breakfast was lousy my wife said and I have to agree.Madam proprietaire was friendly throughout our ordeal.Get out your French dictionary!

Avoid

Possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Noisy, dirty, terrible rooms. How it achieved 2 stars is beyond me. Nearest restaurants are a good 20 minutes walk away and to say they are located in a park is pushing the boundaries of poetic licensing. The park is currently a construction site over the road. Not cheap either.

Stinky creepy place

Old old hotel on the edge of town. Stinky rooms and dirty halls and walls. Stay somewhere else! It was empty and we were given the worst rooms.
