Lovely one night stay
We went to Aix les Bains for a night as part of a longer stay in France.
The property is delightful and has great views. Our room was large,clean and comfortable. Beautiful garden. Good continental breakfast.
About half a mile downhill to the town. A stiff walk back. Definitely recommend.

Homey B&B
We stayed one night at L'Hermitage and absolutely loved it!
The owner is a pure delight. She left Paris a few years back and spent 3 and half years refurbishing that house perched on top of a hill overlooking the mountains and the lake.
This resulted in 3 bedrooms & 2 holiday homes, with a different feel to each. I stayed in the 'colonial' room which out of the 3 bedrooms (I visited them all) has my vote. Located on the 1st floor right next to the 'contemporary' room, it boasts a vast living room, a HUGE bed and a lovely bathroom (with separate toilets).
There's a nice garden with a pool and jacuzzi.
There are at least 5 parking spaces. The parking is actually the main entrance to the property, it's the big iron gate which you'll find on your right as you turn onto Chemin de l'Hermitage. Don't programme your GPS to 10 Impasse des Acacias or you'll end up on the wrong side of the property.
Breakfast was nice and hearty, the place is quiet and really feels like home.
I'm sure you'll have a great time :)

Accommodation okay for one night
The room was okay. There was no shampoo or soap or any little bathroom essentials. The bed was comfortable but it was an attic room and roof was close to bed (watch your head). Breakfast was nice. On checking out, host did not take credit card. We had to drive to the center of the town to find a bancomat (a little irritating).

Nice country house
We stayed here for a night on our way south. The beautiful house, surrounded by a large and well maintained garden, lies a bit outside of Aix-les-Bains in a quiet area. All rooms are differently decorated. We had the neo-baroque room (called La Contemporaine), which wasn't completely our taste, but that's a matter of preference. Breakfast was very good. Arrival is only possible after 6pm, which we found too late.

Lovely!
Following a stay in Lake Annecy, we decided to take a 3 night break in Aix-les-Bains before returning home and chose this little gem which is about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Aix-les-Bains. Aix itself is a little disappointing after being at Annecy, a bit like a poor-man's lakes and mountains break as there is very little to do there and there are several faded-grandeur Art Deco hotels, many of which are closed and shuttered up, which is a shame. The sulphur springs were worth a visit. However, our stay at L'hermitage made the trip worthwhile. Set behind secure electric gates, this lovely, charming property stands in a quiet location with beautiful grounds. The garden gets the sun from lunchtime onwards and there is a swimming pool and sun bathing area as well as pretty floral corners with comfortable seating areas. We had a large room and en-suite with balcony overlooking the garden. The room was very highly appointed and we would highly recommend staying there. Each morning the lady of the house served a lovely breakfast of bread, croissants, pastries, jams and yoghurt which each morning was set out at different tables in different corners of the grounds. This was done for all of the guests so everyone was secluded. It was quite charming and added to the peaceful, away-from-it-all ambience. I would highly recommend a stay here. Only things to point out are that the wi-fi mostly didn't work at all during the 3 night stay and I would say to bring your own toiletries as the ones there are a bit sparse and there is no bottled water in the room. Also no room clean or making/changing of bed/sheets during the 3 nights but that's minor, it's a B&B and not a hotel... But all round good value for money and a lovely little place.
