Great location & great hotel
Needed to leave a poor Airbnb part way through stay and found the Best Western. Really friendly when we checked in, perfect location 5 mins from old town and a stones throw from the shops & restaurants.
Hotel clean, cool and room was great.
It is on edge of the bustling town area so some noise at night but not bad but light sleepers (not me ) may prefer ear plugs.
Will be back but maybe not mid August as soooo hot!!

Excellent location, room not up to par
The hotel is in an excellent location for touring Nice on foot; unfortunately, the area around it is busy and noisy. Our standard double room was not adequate for a 4-star hotel and the price paid, 345 euros including breakfast; perhaps others are better, but they should renovate the interiors anyway, environments on the floors are old.

Not worth the price
I thought this was a very expensive hotel for whatever it was. Especially since the rooms are old and decrepit. Think: walls and doors with peeling paint, flaked furniture, an old carpet, a shower in a bath with a shower head with little water coming out and with little water pressure, old and thin towels... On the pictures of the site this looks like a modern and even a bit luxurious hotel, but it is absolutely not.
I also found it strange that a double bed consists of two assembled mattresses (I then asked for a topper, so you don't feel that separation all the time, fortunately you could, but the topper was too small for the whole bed, so you were left with those edges again.)
I really had to turn a switch mentally: it's only for 5 nights and let me focus on the positive.
The positive thing is: the breakfast is pretty good (for example with fresh orange juice, although you have to find that machine yourself in a hallway, and some more healthy options would have been welcome). The location is great, right in the center yet in a more or less quiet street. I was also very happy that I had been given a room that faces a pedestrian courtyard. There is a pillow menu, and the staff are polite and helpful.
But I wouldn't book this hotel again. Well, not that.

Great location and thoughtful touches for our honeymoon
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Hotel Masséna for our honeymoon and had a very enjoyable stay.
The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Masséna tram stop, making it easy to travel to and from the train station, while the Old Town, seafront and many restaurants are all within easy walking distance.
We received a professional yet friendly welcome on arrival. As the hotel knew we were celebrating our honeymoon, they had decorated our room and left us some delicious macarons, which was a thoughtful surprise and a lovely way to start our stay.
Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. We also had a balcony, which was useful as it meant my husband could vape without needing to leave the hotel. The bathroom felt modern and well finished, although the rest of the room was beginning to show its age in places.
The complimentary bottles of water that were replenished each day were very welcome during the August heat, and having a fridge in the room was another nice touch. It was perfect for keeping a bottle of wine chilled to enjoy after a day exploring Nice.
Overall, this is a well-located hotel with friendly service and several thoughtful touches that made our stay memorable. We’d happily stay here again.

Very bad welcome, rude staff, we ran into a racist and rude gentleman, small room, and no one helps you, not even to bring up the suitcases; I do not recommend this establishment to you.
