Good location but budget feel for sure…
The hotel is at a great location. 1 min to the beach and even less to the main tram line (to the airport!) Few shops and restaurants around, bigger ones about 15 mins walk.
Our twin room was tiny with no to minimal furniture (apart of bed). Shower is also tiny but ok. Good blackout curtains/blinds. Only one towel per person- no hand towel. Bedding is terrible as they use cheap crinkly plastic waterproof covers on pillows and mattress- impossible to sleep with them on, noisy and makes you overheat. The hotel is noisy from the inside, cleaners start around 6:30am every day, you can hear all the goings above and on corridors too.
Lifts get busy and you may wait a long time. Breakfast is cold foods only, very hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese, 2 cereals, 2 compote, 2 types of bread, waffle, brioche, croissant (no pain au chocolates), spreads and honey, few flavoured of yoghurts, apple and kiwi. Plant based milk as well. Coffees/teas and juice. It’s ok for a few days but you might get better food in the bakery across for same price…

Hell!
This is by far the most disgusting place I have ever stayed in. There is no WiFi in the room (911), and the room doesn’t even have a window that can be opened, so it literally feels like a prison cell — and even prisons have windows for ventilation!
The cleaners are clearly not cleaning properly at all. Every night I come back to find dust all over the floor. I was also told the bedding would be changed after 3 days, and despite giving advance notice to reception, it still wasn’t changed.
Nothing here is good. All the breakfast food is cold — there isn’t even any hot breakfast available. The room also has no wardrobe at all, so you are forced to leave all your clothes and belongings out in the open.
Overall, a terrible experience and definitely not a place I would recommend to anyone.

We stayed at the Ibis Budget Nice California hotel for 8 nights. The location and facilities are superb; the tram from the airport passes in front of the hotel, and you can easily reach the city center using the same tram. The rooms are very small, but the bathroom is very clean. The fact that you have to use a room key to enter the hotel after 10 pm and that the elevators only work with a room key is very important for security. We were very satisfied. Thank you...
