Beautiful environment!

The setting is simply idyllic, exotic
Nice hosts, discreet, perfect breakfast served in a big basket as in the countryside
Ideally located 10-15min from Beauval Zoo
Decoration of the room not modern enough according to our tastes and dishes from the menu too expensive in our opinion (9€ per panini)
We recommend however with your eyes closed, thank you again for all ✨️

Peaceful location in lovely countryside with lots of birdsong. Welcoming, helpful owners . Kitchenette is well equipped if a little cramped. Large, clean bathroom and comfy beds. Disappointing breakfast and overall not as good as cheaper places.

French Bliss in Historic Watermill, owners speak English, German, French & Dutch!

Such a bliss, to have discovered a B&B like Le Moulin D'Olivet! The owners are most welcoming and charming (spoke Dutch to us, English, German and French to other guests), the rooms are excellent (comfortable, clean, good size) and the meals we enjoyed were simply scrumptious. All was local produce and products, from the vegetables to the cheeses, wines and sausages. Ask for the owners to make a traditional french apple pie, they are excellent! They really know how to run a B&B.
I fell in love with the location too. In the middle of flowing fields, with a small river (Olivet) flowing along the edges of the property. Flowers everywhere, you can't stop looking at it all. So much to discover because there are all these different areas in and around the mill. It is quiet, just the sounds of nature (water, wind, birds) and even the occasional spotting of local wildlife. We got to see deer and the kingfisher even on two occasions.
We also went on a couple of trips to most charming local villages (Loches, Montresor, so many), visited a couple of great local markets and seen some of the magnificent Loire castles. Not enough time for it all, but hurrying to see it all doesn't suit this place, looking forward to going back soon, apparently during summer there are fields full of sunflowers.

Un gite de qualité

Nous avons réservé début juillet pour 4 personnes et sommes ravis de notre séjour. Nos hôtes étaient très attentifs et ont eu une réelle bienveillance, cherchant à faire plaisir de façon authentique et naturelle tout en étant d'une grande discrétion. Nos chambres étaient grandes, d'une propreté exemplaire, le site dans un calme absolu. Nous avons aussi bénéficié de leurs conseils pour les bonnes adresses de resto et le reste. Le sens de l'Hospitalité avec un grand H. Bravo et merci. Janie-Line et Jean-Claude

B&B Watermolen op zijn Frans

Zomaar op ons pad gekomen, bijna een landgoed aan de Olivet. Oorspronkelijk een watermolen met bijgebouwen maar nu prachtig gerestaureerd en van alle gemakken voorzien. Met de hardware van de kamers en andere voorzieningen (Spa & Gym) is niets mis. De software: de vriendelijke en gastvrije ontvangst en de zorgzame instelling waren voortreffelijk en als er ook nog Nederlands wordt gesproken (met een licht maar vertrouwd accent) is dat voor de toeristen uit Les Pays Bas mooi meegenomen. Over het inbegrepen ontbijt zeg ik niets, laat dat maar een super verrassing blijven. Aanrader, gunstige ligging in midden Frankrijk, met Loire en al haar kastelen.
