Charming hotel near the city center, on the Loire

Charming hotel, close to the city center, with parking, on the Loire. What more can I ask?
The breakfast buffet is of good quality with a good choice of savoury, sweet products. The staff is attentive. The soundproofing is not at the top but nothing prohibitive. The bedding is very, very firm. Maybe too firm...
The only thing that might put off: there is no restaurant in this establishment. But there are two just a few steps from the hotel. Small stay of three nights really nice.
Interesting starting point for a show at the Comet or Arena (by car or tram).
Little lack: no courtesy coffee or minibar in the rooms.

Convenient location , decent room and breakfast.

Overall a good stay. Bed was comfortable . Room was decent size representing fair value. Breakfast options are good . Location was decent . Toilet closet was far too small with no exhaust fan. Hallway carpet badly stained with bleach. A member of the front desk staff needs some training on inter-personal skills.

Good location, but the air conditioning needs attention and clarity.

I visited The Escale whilst staying in Orléans for a night. The hotel was okay and in a good location. The main issue I had was that, despite it being May and warm, the hotel’s air conditioning was turned off. When I asked why it was not working, I was told that it only does cold air in the summer and hot air in the winter. Well - May is not in the Winter.
It would also have been helpful to have some instructions next to the air conditioning panel, as it was not clear how to use it, or indeed that it was not working and was only blowing out hot air. This is a major point and a clear area for improvement, as it significantly affected me for a number of hours until I understood the situation after speaking with the desk.
Aside from that, the room was otherwise well furnished, the breakfast was okay, and the location is really good. The hotel really needs to address this key issue discussed above.

Great location, lovely walk along the Loire to the historic centre. Great welcome. Parking on site ✔️. I should have checked but would have liked a safe and a kettle or tea making facilities in the room or lobby - we are English after all !!

Fantastic Stay

Stayed here 2 nights at the start of a road trip through the Loire Valley. I would highly recommend this hotel. Parking is free on site and a good breakfast included. Staff were very friendly and professional and a special mention for Marina at reception who helped us secure tickets for the elephant ride in Nantes. It is at most a 10 minute walk along the river into town.
