Well located campsite, quiet and beautiful Huttopia spirit
We spent a good week at the campsite with our caravan, only downside the dilapidated toilet block and its daily state of cleanliness that leaves to be desired...
At the food service level nothing wrong the pizzas are excellent as well as the Service.

Nice place without swimming opportunities in the river.
A huge area with over 200 pitches and more than 200 chalets.
The pitches are mostly above average in size and predominantly shady. Sufficient electrical outlets and water connections. The sanitary facilities are modern, clean, and at an acceptable distance from each other.
The bar offers good beers at the typically high local price, as well as pizzas and snack platters.
The restaurant in front of the entrance is not always open. You can forget about the selection of the "store" at the reception. But you can pre-order bread and croissants.
A shop in the town center has everything you need. So far, so good.
The campsite advertises with the slogan "on the white beach." However, that is not the case at all. Even though previous guests report swimming in the Loue, that time seems to be long gone. The two access points still marked in the brochure are abandoned, presumably because there is a swimming ban in the entire area anyway.
This, in our opinion, eliminates a significant reason to visit the campsite, which must be reflected in the rating. At least in the off-season, there are hardly any guests for more than one night. If full occupancy occurs in the high season, one can hardly imagine the crowding in the pool.

Concernant la Loue, nous comprenons parfaitement votre déception. Croyez bien que nous la partageons également. Comme vous, nous aimerions pouvoir faire profiter pleinement nos visiteurs de cette rivière qui fait partie du charme et de l’identité du site. Malheureusement, les restrictions actuelles relèvent d’arrêtés municipaux et ne dépendent pas du camping. Nous prenons également note de votre remarque concernant les informations communiquées sur ce sujet. Nous allons continuer à améliorer notre communication afin que nos clients disposent des informations les plus claires possibles avant leur arrivée. ́Nice holiday but disappointed by the first Huttopia experience
We spent 9 days with family (2 adults and 3 children) in Arizona tent.
I had received positive feedback from Huttopia and therefore had certain expectations. These expectations have not been confirmed by my stay and I am still looking for reasons that would make Huttopia a little different from others in terms of both the quality of facilities and services.
Let's start with the least:
- Deplorable Welcoming: no smile / welcome word , no explanation about the campsite. We arrived 1h30 early. We were told that the accommodation was almost ready and that we could go to the pool and would be called as soon as it was ready. After 1 hour waiting, I called the reception from the pool. The accommodation was ready. The lady forgot to call me and did not seem disturbed or apologize.
When we returned to the reception, she just gave us a map with the location. And an oversight to give us the key to our accommodation, which I had to ask again.
-reception staff are completely untrained in tourism to help residents at both a practical and cultural level. We have to deal with the brochures and the map at the Welcoming. Not hoping to get answers to questions. The only person who was great at giving us information about visits to the area was the manager but unfortunately we only saw him once. I just learned from the reviews that there was a tot bag with information about the area. We were not given it. Inquiring, I saw that there is a great tourist office in Ounans 1km away but no promotion is made at Welcoming.
- the terrace and the living area and its facilities are quite small compared to the number of residents. There is clearly a lack of chairs and tables on the terrace in the evening.
– I was very surprised to see one evening a street vendor selling plastic toys and Chinese goods next to the campsite terrace. This does not correspond to the values sold by huttopia: nature, ecology etc... I found it quite shocking.
Plus:
-location next to the river which makes the atmosphere very pleasant
- the accommodation is functional and well equipped and corresponds to what was sold.
– the fishing activity offered was great
- pool management (cleanliness) is very good. We tested it during a heat wave.
- the games area inside with super table football and outside with the football area , basketball and table tennis of good quality
- board and outdoor games (ping pong badminton) available to holidaymakers
-open-air cinema for children

Has so much potential but bathrooms are a no-go
So first of all, this camping has like 80% Dutch people, be aware of that, the rest is UK, DE and BE. DO NOT GET PATCH NO 116 there is a septic tank right next to you!!! It is unbelievable that this patch is even given out to people also all around that bathroom of course you will smell it. Definitely an overpriced camping site. The pool is ok, Pizza is not cheap but good, chairs at restaurant outside are super uncomfortable but ok. Here is the thing though many bathrooms are outdated and seats are broken and not cleaned. You see cleaning people walking to the toilets opening the door, checking if not an explosion happened inside if not they just move on, no cleaning no spraying of I dont know some disinfectant maybe, nothing. Kids entertainment is good but the best is the river along the camping site. Local people will tell you though that the river is dying so feels a bit wrong to use it for your pleasure, still especially in the summer it is nice, cold and refreshing. I would love the recommend the camping site but due to the bathroom situation I cannot.

Pour ce qui est de l’entretien des sanitaires, nous souhaitons apporter quelques précisions importantes : nos équipes de nettoyage interviennent jusqu’à 4 fois par jour, à différents moments, sur plusieurs heures, afin de garantir l’hygiène et le confort des vacanciers.
Il est possible que votre passage ait eu lieu entre deux interventions, ce qui peut expliquer votre impression. Nous allons toutefois redoubler de vigilance et renforcer nos contrôles.
Nous regrettons également que certains équipements n’aient pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes. Nous prenons note de vos remarques sur le mobilier du restaurant extérieur et sur le rapport qualité-prix.

Safari tent not good, beautiful nature
Safari tent zero comfort (especially sagging bed, sainitarian decrepit, no duvets, no kettle, no sofa oid, no storage space). Beautiful places, lots of nature, fun for young kids. A little further away from everything. Supermarket at 10 min with fast charger. So with your own accommodation perhaps better.

Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié le cadre naturel et les emplacements, qui sont effectivement pensés pour offrir un environnement apaisant, en particulier pour les familles avec jeunes enfants. Concernant la tente safari, il s'agit d’un hébergement simple et ouvert sur la nature, avec un équipement de base, mais nous prenons bonne note de vos remarques sur le confort du lit et l’équipement. Vos retours nous sont précieux pour envisager des améliorations, notamment sur les éléments de confort et de rangement.
