Hotel was in the perfect location. Room was small but functional although hooks in the bathroom for towels would be nice.
We were there 5 nights and the towels were changed daily but the sheets were not. Usually hotels will change after 3 nights.
All in all it was a pleasant stay and a good value for Paris. The desk and kitchen staff were really helpful and friendly.

Very helpful and friendly reception.
Rooms smallish, but roomy enough for all we had to do!
Lovely breakfast! Even when we had to leave at 6:30 am, there were eggs, fruit, many cereals,coffee, yoghurt, cheese, etc- just no pastries, as they arrive at 7! Very accommodating!
And 20 minutes from Notre Dame, the Louvre, and our special dinner out at Frenchie! Perfect!
Highly recommended!

Very accessible place walking distance to interesting shopping, dining and ionic places such as Notre Dame. Very safe for evening stalls..

The stay was good. The only problem we had - breakfast was VERY basic and very few staff available to help with things at breakfast time

A very pleasant and welcoming hotel

The Hotel du Vieux Saule, in the heart of the Marais, is an extremely charming establishment, ideally located for visiting this neighborhood. I went there twice: in May and June 2026. Impeccable room, comfortable bedding, and adjustable air conditioning made my stay very pleasant. My room overlooked the street but it was perfectly soundproofed. The breakfast is plentiful with ham, cheese, eggs, cakes, fresh bread, jams, etc. I had two impeccable stays during which the welcoming, smiling, kind, and attentive service greatly contributed. In short, I will return in August for the third time, always with pleasure!
