Lovely Hotel

We got a cab from Gare de Nord to the hotel. Upon arrival hotel staff helped us with our cases which was very kind of them. Check in was really easy. Our room was really nice and the bed was so comfy, also the ensuite with a decent shower. We had breakfast every day which became very boring after the first few mornings. It really needed to be changed up a bit. We wanted to get the hop on hop off bus but you can’t get one near the hotel. We decided we would walk to Musee d’Orsay and pick it up there. In fact we walked to most places which was great as you see things you wouldn’t necessarily case on a bus or metro train. The walk was lovely and we even came across a fresh food market on the way. We bought some cherries which were much nicer than the ones we get where we live. We did find it easier to walk to places rather than take the metro or the bus. There is an abundance of places to eat near the hotel so we definitely did not go hungry. Overall I found the hotel to be comfortable and good value for money.

Our Hotel Room Was Left Open By Maid!

Our room was left open all day after the maids cleaned the room! I returned to the room around 6.00p to find the door partially opened. I had left the hotel with my travel companion at 10.00a. When I informed the hotel about this the front desk seemed unconcerned about it. We asked to speak to the manager but they do not have an overnight manager. The staff said they would send the manager to speak with us the next day but they never did. We then asked to speak to the manager the following morning when we were checking out at 9.00a and the manager wasn’t in again. This was the biggest issue but we also were unable to check in at the 2.00p check in time and had to wait until 2.30p. We also had issues with the bartender telling us we could not eat outside food in their courtyard terrace (fine enough) but then not allowing us to order room service to the courtyard saying it could only be sent to our room. It was a beautiful night in Paris after the heatwave and we wanted to eat outside. We then go up to our room to eat and see other guests from the hotel eating and drinking their outside food and wine in the courtyard. Throughly displeased with this hotel as well as the travel company who booked them for us, Kensington, and will not be using either again. Would not recommend!

We also apologize for the delay in making your room available upon arrival. Although we always strive to have rooms ready by our official check-in time, occasional delays may occur, and we regret the inconvenience this caused.
Regarding the courtyard, we would like to clarify that, in order to keep this shared space clean and enjoyable for everyone, outside food is not permitted. This policy applies equally to all of our guests. If other guests were consuming food from outside the hotel and this was not addressed by our team, we sincerely apologize for this inconsistency. Had we been aware of the situation, they would have been informed of the same policy.
We are truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations and appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention. Your feedback is important to us and will help us continue improving both our service and our communication.

Do not book at this hotel! They do false marketing on platforms such as booking or agoda then proceed to cancel your reservation! They always say that the platforms were hacked and they proceed to ask you for a higher price!

However, we would like to clarify that our hotel has never had any intention of cancelling reservations in order to request a higher price. We have absolutely no interest in doing so, as maintaining our guests’ trust and providing a reliable service are among our top priorities.
Unfortunately, our hotel was also a victim of a fraudulent incident involving the Booking.com messaging system. Following the report of this issue, Booking.com took security measures, and some reservations were automatically cancelled by the platform as part of their procedures.
We understand how disappointing and confusing this may have been for you. Please be assured that these cancellations were not initiated by our hotel, and we sincerely regret the inconvenience caused by a situation that affected both guests and our property.
